Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday my friends...we've had a busy weekend running around to a variety of activities but yesterday I had a few hours at my craft table. I was so happy as I can't tell you the last time I've spent more than an hour creating. I had a lot of cards I needed to send for upcoming birthdays, thank yous and a few thinking of you cards for family and friends that could use some extra encouragement. So I quickly was looking for a few challenges to play along with. My first card above I made using the fun inspiration from the Inkspirational Challenge. Love the color palette for their retro challenge. I picked up these sentiments from Taylored Expressions. I love them!

My second card is going to a co-worker who is doing a fabulous job as a thank you for a job well done. This was inspired by the current CAS(E) this Sketch. I made multiples of this one as well as the birthday one. I'm so happy to be creating. Hope you got some time to create this weekend too.

Congrats Graduate!

Happy Tuesday friends!  It has been way too long since I've popped in with a just because card!  Life is moving along at lightning speed over here!  Jonathon graduates from high school this Sunday which means lots of fun end of year activities for him (and our whole family really). Ryan is home for the summer which is awesome and Collin and Marcel are busy finishing up the school year. Collin has his first job interview after school today and his clothes are piled on my vanity upstairs waiting for a quick ironing job from mom!  Love all these little signs around us showing that time is passing and they are growing up quickly. Trying to take the time to soak up all these precious moments.

So..while I'm at it, I thought I'd share a couple graduation cards. The first one is for this week's CAS(e) this Sketch challenge. The second one is inspired by a CAS(e) this Sketch challenge a couple of weeks ago but I never made it around to posting!  Both of these are using new goodies from Taylored Expressions.

Hope you are all having a fabulous week and cherishing all that is happening around you as well!

Thank You Very Much

Happy Sunday friends...popping in with a very quick card to share for the current CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.   A little ink masking with Distress Oxides, add a sentiment and we're off!  Love when a card quickly comes together.

Hope your week goes well!  We're working on staying warm here...it is freezing out!  And crossing our fingers that the snow stays away so that the kids can go to their first show choir competition (the first two have been snowed out!).

Yay!

Happy Sunday friends! We've had another snowy weekend like much of the US and that meant a weekend at home (no show choir...).  So today was a morning of craftiness and yesterday was a day of binge watching a TV series.  I'm a happy girl when I get to craft!

So here's my first card so share (I'll have a few more this week!).  I recently took the plunge and purchased Copics.  I know I won't get crazy coloring but felt the craving for wanting to color a bit....so this little giraffe is colored and this card will go in the mail to my niece whose birthday comes up in early February.

You can see my loose interpretation of the sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch.  You all know how much I love leaf stamps so it took everything in me not to make my card very literal to the sketch!

Okay...off to watch playoff football now!

Thanks

Happy Sunday friends...it has been a snowy weekend here (which I think a lot of you are experiencing)...which meant show choir was cancelled yesterday and we all hung out at home.  And today was a crafty day.  I'm working hard to think ahead about cards I'll need so I made a couple of these thank you notes. These will go to the two college students who help out with our show choir band later this spring!

I hope you are all getting time to create this weekend too.  And thanks as always to CAS(E) this Sketch for the fabulous sketch!

Congratulations: You Did It!

Happy new year's eve my friends!  Popping in to share a card before we host Jonathon's youth group friends for new years. I've had a great day making appetizers, organizing and best of all crafting!  I'm trying to work ahead knowing that the next several months will be busy.  I'm looking forward to show choir season starting this weekend and robotics have already started with Jonathon.  He's also made his college decision and will be heading to Indiana University this fall...so we're talking about graduation parties too around here!  Exciting times!

So...you'll understand me making this card...could be for any number of things...but thinking this will go in the graduation card area for one of Jonathon's friends! Thanks so much for the fabulous inspiration as always at CAS(E) this Sketch!

Wishing you all a safe and wonderful new year!

When Life Gets Prickly...

Happy Sunday night my friends! I need to get to my craft room and make a few sympathy cards. I never seem to be able to keep enough of them in my stash.  Instead I thought I'd pop in and share this card that I made several weeks ago.  It fits with the current CAS(E) this Sketch if you turn it upside down. Love this adorable image and heartfelt sentiment.  I hope the holiday season isn't keeping you too busy and you're getting time to create!

Your Future is Bright

Happy Sunday my friends!  Once again popping in with a card I made several weeks ago but have not yet shared.  I thought this fun rainbow card was perfect for the challenge over at CAS(E) this Sketch.  And the card was made with the thought that this spring I'll need lots of cards as Jonathon and his friends graduate from high school. He's received acceptance letters from two out of the three schools where he has applied and I have no doubt this year is going to fly by.  We had senior night for his cross country team on Friday night (in the pouring rain!)  Such exciting times for him and I love seeing him bloom.

The weekend was filled with lots of errands and an awesome halloween party celebrating a dear friend's 50th.  For those of you who are Fixer Upper fans I thought you'd appreciate our costumes.  Hope your weekend was filled with lots of fun and relaxation!

Congratulations

Happy Sunday my friends.  After heading to yoga with a girlfriend this morning, I've been enjoying a lazy day on the couch watching football.

I was looking through the current challenges and found that this card I made for a wedding we went to last night worked really well for the current sketch over at CAS(e) this Sketch. Just need to flip the sketch!  This is one of my favorite challenges. Love an awesome CAS sketch!

Hope you all are getting some crafty time as well and that your week gets off to a great start!

Thinking of You

Dropped Collin of at the homecoming dance, picked up a Diet Coke for myself and heading to my craft room for a bit before I head back out the door to pick him up at 11. I am normally not a night time crafter but have a lot of cards I need to make to send out quickly.  A dear friend has a sister who was just diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and I wanted her to know I was thinking of her and sending lots of prayers to her. The CAS(e) this Sketch is always my go to and this was no exception.

And now I'm off to go get Collin!

You're Always on My Mind

Happy Sunday my friends...it has been a cool and rainy weekend here which means there has been a ton of time for crafting!  I am a happy happy girl!  Lots of Christmas cards have been made and a few cards for specific occasions.  A dear crafty friend has been in the hospital for a bit so this card is being sent with lots of love and prayers hoping that she is home soon.

Playing along with CAS(e) this Sketch...love the inspiration each and every week from this challenge!

Three Very Quick Cards

Happy Sunday my friends...I'm popping in with three very quick cards before I head to the airport for a work trip from now until Wednesday.  Before I left I was in need of two birthday cards for Friday birthdays and a card for Ryan...his junior year of college starts tomorrow!

The first card above is for my sister in law...and plays along with the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.

The second card is for a co-worker of mine whose birthday is at the end of the week.

And the last card is for Ryan...hoping that he has an amazing junior year. Incredible that he is half way through college already. Time certainly flies.  All of these were made from left overs in my craft stash.  Love that they came together very quickly today and what I had in my head translated to paper.

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend and sneaking in some crafty time!

Celebrating Collin!

It's hard to believe that another school year is starting for the boys today. Time certainly does seem to fly by the older they get. We have a senior, freshman and 7th grader so we're busy with Jonathon looking at colleges and starting the application process. I have no doubt I'm going to blink and we'll be doing the same with Collin.  It is amazing to watch them grow and soar.

On Thursday, Collin will be 15. We're so proud of what a hard working and kind young man he is. He developed the best habits for school during his 8th grade year and is going into high school with a quiet, positive confidence. He's following in Ryan's foot steps and will be in high school show choir and also wants to join the bowling team.  Can't wait to watch my beautiful boy soar!

So...here's his card following this week's CAS(e) this Sketch.

Merry Christmas

Happy Sunday my friends...my apologies for the terrible photography...but it will have to do for today!  I've had a full...and super relaxing day today. Started the day with a walk with two dear friends...followed it up by heading out with Jonathon to paint a paw for his senior year of cross country (it is a tradition at his high school that all senior athletes paint a paw on the walk way up to the football stadium)....an afternoon of crafting and then working on getting all of our scrapbooks organized!  Now it's time to chill out for the work week ahead!  But before I do I wanted to pop in and share this card for the current CAS(e) this Sketch. I love this challenge and it is quite often my go to when I haven't crafted in quite some time. Today was no exception!

I hope you also have had a fabulous Sunday and that your week gets off to a great start!

What If You Fly?

Posts three days in a row!  That makes me happy as it means I've had more time to create!  Sharing the last of the graduation cards for this year.  This card is for my long time best friend, Sandy's daughter.  We went to dinner Monday night to celebrate Ashley's graduation and I thought this sentiment was absolute perfect as she heads off to college later this summer. And of course, I had to use her college school colors! Playing along with CAS(e) this Sketch!

Thank You for All You Do

Happy Memorial Day to my US friends.  I hope you are all having time to give thanks for those who have given their lives for us.

I'm popping in to share a very quick CAS card that I made following the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. I needed a few quick thank yous for Marcel and Collin's teachers before the end of school this year.  I made two of these for Marcel's two male teachers.

Love that I am getting a bit more time to create these days. I hope you are as well!

Dream Big

Happy Sunday friend!  I'm playing along over at CAS(e) this Sketch!  Tis the season for proms, graduations and lots of end of the school year fun events....and I am in need of graduation cards for a few of our friends children and I thought this sketch was perfect. I turned it upside down and thought it would be fun to make it look like the caps were all thrown in the air.

I can't even begin to tell you happy I was to have a solid couple of hours crafting away yesterday. It has been way too long since that has happened. Here's to lots of crafty time for all of us!

And here's a few pictures of Jonathon and friends heading off to their junior prom last night. They had a great time!

Be My Valentine

Don't you love this sweet little sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch?  I was looking through my valentine stamps I loved these sweet little floral hearts from Verve.  I immediately was inspired to play along.  A touch of twine, a stitched mat and a sentiment and this one was done quickly. I love a primarily white on white card.

Hope that you are all finished up with your valentines too!

Inhale Courage; Exhale Fear

Happy Wednesday my friends...we're more than half way through the week. Yahoo!  I've been on the road and burning a bit of the midnight oil, but did have a couple of very happy hours in my craft room on Sunday.  I just realized I never posted a picture of this card that I made for this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch. This card was made for my sister-in-law to give to a dear friend of hers that was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I think that Verve sentiment is perfect.

Hope you are all having a fabulous week!

Hello There - {Plus Instant Pot Suggestions Welcomed!}

Happy Monday!  Back two days in a row playing along over at CAS(E) this Sketch.  I was in need of a quick card to send to Ryan with a couple of other things I was popping in the mail to him. I grabbed these stamps from Winner & Walter along with a touch of striped paper and we were ready to go. I love stripes!

On another note, I finally got my Instant Pot out after about 18 months since we have moved. Made a Chicken Verde dish that was a hit with everyone. If you have any favorite recipes I'd love to hear them.  Please share a link if you don't mind! Thanks in advance - I really don't cook much and am trying to change that so that we eat a bit healthier this year.
