You're Always on My Mind

Happy Sunday my friends...it has been a cool and rainy weekend here which means there has been a ton of time for crafting!  I am a happy happy girl!  Lots of Christmas cards have been made and a few cards for specific occasions.  A dear crafty friend has been in the hospital for a bit so this card is being sent with lots of love and prayers hoping that she is home soon.

Playing along with CAS(e) this Sketch...love the inspiration each and every week from this challenge!

Inhale Courage; Exhale Fear

Happy Wednesday my friends...we're more than half way through the week. Yahoo!  I've been on the road and burning a bit of the midnight oil, but did have a couple of very happy hours in my craft room on Sunday.  I just realized I never posted a picture of this card that I made for this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch. This card was made for my sister-in-law to give to a dear friend of hers that was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I think that Verve sentiment is perfect.

Hope you are all having a fabulous week!

You've Got This

Time for a new week!  And looking forward to the week zooming forward to the end of the week when Collin and Marcel have their first show choir competition.  Speaking of which (they had their preview night on Saturday so I've attached a few pictures). They looked and sounded great and it was awesome to see them perform together.

But...you're really here to see a card.  This week I'll have a couple more cards using Verve stamps!  This card is for the current CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. I've had the flowers stamped forever and I still love them...so a super fast card that I finished off with a touch of patterned paper and a sentiment.  I'm also going to enter this over at CASology - Encouragement challenge.

Trust in You

Ignore the shadows on my photo :)  I would go snap a new picture but this card is already in the mail.  A fellow show choir mom let me know last night that her husband has just been diagnosed with advanced colon cancer.  So all you prayer warriors out there please keep Jeff in your prayers. I wanted to get a card in the mail to them letting them know we are thinking of them and are here to help.  I though this Psalm from Verve was perfect.  I'm entering this over at CASology for the encouragement challenge.

Time Out: Gracious

Happy New Year's week!  It's time for a new challenge over at Time Out!  We're only challenge #100 - isn't that amazing!  I love being on this design team and we're back with the perfect challenge for you.  We challenge you to be Thankful and ours sponsor is  Verve with the winner getting a stamp set of their choice. You all know how much I love Verve and Julee's amazing designs and sentiments so I had to play along for the challenge both this week and next with the reminder post.

My card today features two Verve sets:  Scripture Medley 5 and Borderline.  We won't talk about how many times I stamped the sentiment and embossed it before I was happy with the end result. My white ink was a bit too juicy for stamping the smaller worlds. So I switched over to Versamark and white embossing powder.  To finish off the card I die cut the sentiment, stamped the heart border three different times and then adhered both panels to the base.  Love the neutral color palette.

We have two fabulous guest designers who I adore: Bobby and Julee. Please pop on over to their blogs along with the Time Out blog to check our their gorgeous cards, our design team's amazing talent and most importantly to play along!

Curtain Call: Need to Venti

This week we are inviting you to join us for...

If you are a coffee love, you'll love this coffee loving inspiration we have for you!  Last Sunday, I had a major crafty binge...crafting for about four hours straight. I love those types of days!  My craft room is pretty organized now so I was looking at what I hadn't used in a while and found several items my friend, Erin, had sent to me. I pulled the sentiment for this card from her goodies!  Perfect to play along.  I hope that you are inspired to stop by Curtain Call and play with us too!

Happy Birthday to You

Happy Monday my friends. It's officially fall, but man was the hot weather back in force this weekend. We were outside all day Saturday, but yesterday was an air conditioning kind of day and I spent most of the day crafting after meeting a friend for yoga in the morning. Love when cards come together quickly like this one inspired by the current CAS(e) this Sketch!

Curtain Call: Dream

Welcome to the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!!
This week we are inviting you to join us for...

I loved the look and feel of this inspiration photo and new I wanted to go for a super CAS design.  I decided to make a card for my oldest who left for his sophomore year of college last Friday.  Pat took him back to school and I backed this in his bag with a note of love and encouragement.  He's very used to me tucking in notes to his things!  Wonder what he really thinks of them?!
The LEAD of this challenge will be invited to be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge so we would love for you to come and play along.  Please pop on over to play with us at Curtain Call...we'd love to see how you're inspired!

Wishing You a Forever Kind of Love

Don't fall over, but I'm going to have three cards to post this week!  Yes...three...I'm on a roll.  I used to post almost every day and I certainly miss creating a bit more.  This card was made Saturday morning before we headed out for a wedding in Columbus OH. The colors and feel were inspired by their wedding album.  A bit rustic, but very elegant. And the CAS(e) this Sketch was the perfect inspiration.  Love when the card you imagine in your head translates quickly to your creation!

And the wedding was a blast. We only new the groom (a prior co-worker of mine) but it was fabulous. We met a lot of the other guests and danced the night away.  Love attending weddings where you can see how much the bride and groom are loved and supported.

Happy 25th to Us!

Happy Saturday my friends.  Life has been busy with vacations, wedding anniversaries, a new job and getting ready for back to school next week. The three younger boys go back to school on Tuesday and Ryan heads back to OU on Friday. Hard to believe we're saying goodbye to another summary already, but before we do...I wanted to pop in and share a card for our 25th wedding anniversary.  I am so very blessed to share life with my best friend.  I love this man with my whole heart and am so thankful we get to share the good, the bad and all the everyday moments together.  This is the card I gave him...love this Verve sentiment!

Here are a few pictures from last weekend...Pat's parents were nice enough to take us out to dinner at the restaurant where we had our rehearsal dinner.

And here's pictures from our big day 25 years ago!  I still love my wedding dress and the man next to me! :)

Okay...off I go...we're off to Columbus for a wedding of a co-worker. I love celebrating new beginnings!

Welcome back to another challenge at Time Out!  This time we have a Home Sweet Home inspiration challenge for you. Check out the awesome inspiration photo above.  There are so many directions you could go!

For my card, I was inspired by the colors. The winner will get a $15 gift card.  Please be sure to pop on over to Time Out to play along!

Time Out: You are Sunshine for My Soul

Welcome back to Time Out!  It's time for our reminder post. We have a beautiful inspiration by word challenge for you:

'If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely' Road Dahl

I was a bit later to the distress oxide ink trend...but for someone who has struggled getting distress inks to sponge smoothly these are a dream!  I had fun masking off a few lines to make this one layer card.  I let the sentiment take the center stage and thought it was great for the inspiration statement.

I hope you can join us at Time Out!

Go Confidently in the Direction of Your Dreams

It's graduation season...and with the age of our boys...there are lots of friends graduating from high school...so last weekend I went to work on making the last of the graduation cards for the year.  This card was inspired by Ardyth's gorgeous layout below. It look everything in me not to make a floral card (because I love floral cards and bold pops of pink!).  I was inspired by the layout and the tilted panels. I did try my hand at inking the edges...but honestly distress inks and me are not really friends!  So that panel was thrown in the garbage!  So here's the end result!  Thanks for all the gorgeous inspiration Ardyth!  Enter this over at Muse and Addicted to CAS.

God's Love

Pat and I are on our way out the door to catch a flight to Pennsylvania to celebrate his cousin, Ryan. Ryan is being ordained as a deacon tomorrow on his way to being a priest in the next couple of years. It will be a great weekend to celebrate him and his incredible faith. I needed a card!  So this was just made this morning. Nothing like a little just in time crafting.  Hoping your weekend gets off to a great start! And thanks to CAS(e) this Sketch for my inspiration!

Happy Birthday Sandie!

Today is my beautiful cousin, Sandie's, birthday!  I'm stopping by to wish her a day in which she is spoiled rotten by her wonderful husband, Callum. Be sure to pop on over to Sandie's blog to wish her a very happy birthday!

This card was sent to her with lots of love and a few extra bits. A few of us are going together to send Sandie mini card kits as her birthday present.  It's always nice to have extras to create so we thought it would be a great way to celebrate Sandie! I also sent her some new purple inks from Catherine Pooler as Sandie loves all things purple and a touch of grunge too!

So my dearest Sandie...I love you dearly.  So thankful that we are cousins, but even more thankful that we are wonderful friends.  Hope this is the happiest of days for you!  I'll be toasting you from across the pond.  xx

Time Out: Springtime Wishes

Happy Friday Eve my friends!  I'm back to share a card for the current challenge over at Time Out. We have Jenny Mullins as our designer for our case challenge. I have been a long time follower of Jenny's and love her fun, whimsical style.  Can you see how I was inspired by her card?  I used the layout and the spring feel of her card!  Instead of a branch a the top, I used a touch of twine for my card.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Verve. You all know how much I love Verve!  Thanks so much for Julee's generosity in sponsoring our challenge.  The winner of the challenge gets a free stamp set of your choice.  Be sure to check out our guest designer's blog too...you'll be sure to be inspired by Izzy's creations!

I hope you get to come over to Time Out and play along with us.
