For Unto Us a Child is Born

My cousin, Sandie, is a guest designer over at Watercooler Wednesdays, and their challenge is to make a card for Holidays Around the World. I'm trying hard to get ahead on my Christmas cards for this year and so I decided to have a play along at the challenge. And to use those Copics I just bought too. Couldn't bring myself to make more than one of these cards but am pleased with how it turned out!

Happy creating friends!  Going ahead and posting this right after I posted another card as the challenge is up soon!

Merry Christmas

The middle of the week is here....and I hope it is a great one for all of you!  I'm traveling this week for work from Tuesday through Friday and am looking forward to the weekend.  I had it my head that I wanted to make some buffalo plaid Christmas cards.  So off I went...these are being added into the stash for December. My goal this year is to work ahead on birthday and Christmas cards.  Wish me luck!

I'll be back tomorrow with a card for Time Out!

Wreath Builder (Spring and Winter)

My friend, Joy, sent me an absolutely gorgeous card using the Gina K stamp builder sets and and I knew I had to get them. And thanks to my friend, Sandy, giving me a gift card for Simon Says Stamps I quickly added them to my cart!  I've been itching to play along with them and this weekend I put them to use.  I can tell I'll be using these often!  I made four of each for my stash.

Have any new stamps that you are loving?  I'd love to hear what your favorite sets are these days!

PS Ignore my bad photography!  Too lazy to walk downstairs and take the picture again!

Time Out: Merry Christmas

Welcome back for another challenge at Time Out!  We have an amazing sponsor for this challenge:  Winnie & Walter.  I'm so lucky that I have met W&W's fabulous owner, Shea, twice and have been able to stamp right next to her twice. She is a gem and oh so generous!  She let us all purchase stamps for this challenge and I picked up the In the Word:  Merry stamps and coordinating dies.

I picked up on the theme of colourful by adding small pops of color to my white on white card.

We hope you are inspired to play along with us at Time Out!   And to win a fabulous prize from Winnie & Walter!

Case of Sandie

Happy Tuesday my friends...I mentioned that I had lots of crafty time over the weekend. Christmas cards were on the agenda.  The challenge over at Inkspirational is to use a doily on your card. I used a stamp that looks like a doily and was inspired by Sandie's gorgeous card below. Love the color combo of red, black and white.  My picture is a bit over exposed but I am happy with the end result. Thanks so much for the gorgeous inspiration Sandie!

Merry and Bright

Happy Tuesday! I had a bit of crafty time yesterday afternoon and decided to try to get a move on on my Christmas cards. I still have a long way to go on getting them all done!  You all know how much I love a CAS card with a touch of twine.    I love this fabulous set from Winnie & Walter. I'm sure you'll be seeing several more cards with this set!

And this card is perfect for the challenge over at Happy Little Stampers!

Merry Christmas

Happy Sunday my friends...my apologies for the terrible photography...but it will have to do for today!  I've had a full...and super relaxing day today. Started the day with a walk with two dear friends...followed it up by heading out with Jonathon to paint a paw for his senior year of cross country (it is a tradition at his high school that all senior athletes paint a paw on the walk way up to the football stadium)....an afternoon of crafting and then working on getting all of our scrapbooks organized!  Now it's time to chill out for the work week ahead!  But before I do I wanted to pop in and share this card for the current CAS(e) this Sketch. I love this challenge and it is quite often my go to when I haven't crafted in quite some time. Today was no exception!

I hope you also have had a fabulous Sunday and that your week gets off to a great start!

Merry Christmas

Happy Sunday morning my friends...I'm up early and happily enjoying the quiet house while I craft in the basement.  The house is a bit emptier than normal.  Pat is out of town with his brothers, Jonathon is at a friend's bakehouse for the weekend and Ryan and his girlfriend headed back to OU yesterday afternoon. I love having a full house, but also love the quieter moments too.

So I'm up and happily crafting. I have about 10 cards ready to mail out to friends I'm thinking of and about four graduation cards for dear friends children.  But the first card that I wanted to create this morning was for the current Muse Challenge. It has been way too long since I have played over there and isn't Anita's inspiration card gorgeous?

I hope you all are getting time to create today too!

Let It Snow

Happy New Year's my friends!  I've been out running a couple errands including picking our two youngest up from the party we went to last night (they stayed and spent the night with their friends), hitting the grocery store and the post office...and then came home to get crafty before we head over to my brother's house for chili and some more football.

Let it snow is definitely a theme...we've had snow on the ground for over a week here which is unusual for us.  It is COLD!  But, when I saw the Merry Monday embossing challenge, I felt like getting started on cards for next year so I made a couple of these snowman cards using of of my Christmas Verve sets.

While I was in my craft room, I decided to do even more purging.  All of the bulk sale boxes from yesterday have sold but I have two more boxes. Details are below.  If you are outside of the US and would like a box please let me know and I will quote shipping.  Increasing the prices from yesterday as the shipping was more than I anticipated, but no worries...I'm happy to have the stamps going to new homes!

Christmas Box ($35)
  • 7 stamp sets
  • 1 stamp and die set
  • 4 small stamps
  • 15 stand alone dies
Regular Box ($35)
  • 12 stamp sets (2 have matching dies)
  • 2 small stamp sets
  • 21 stand alone dies
