Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday my friends...we've had a busy weekend running around to a variety of activities but yesterday I had a few hours at my craft table. I was so happy as I can't tell you the last time I've spent more than an hour creating. I had a lot of cards I needed to send for upcoming birthdays, thank yous and a few thinking of you cards for family and friends that could use some extra encouragement. So I quickly was looking for a few challenges to play along with. My first card above I made using the fun inspiration from the Inkspirational Challenge. Love the color palette for their retro challenge. I picked up these sentiments from Taylored Expressions. I love them!

My second card is going to a co-worker who is doing a fabulous job as a thank you for a job well done. This was inspired by the current CAS(E) this Sketch. I made multiples of this one as well as the birthday one. I'm so happy to be creating. Hope you got some time to create this weekend too.

With Sympathy

Hi there...back with another card to share today!  I have no sympathy cards in my stash so I knew I needed to change that...this time of year I seem to always need them.  I was looking around for a challenge to play along and the Inkspirational challenge was the perfect one.  I did try to color those flowers in, but let's just say...that wasn't a success

Happy creating friends!

Case of Sandie

Happy Tuesday my friends...I mentioned that I had lots of crafty time over the weekend. Christmas cards were on the agenda.  The challenge over at Inkspirational is to use a doily on your card. I used a stamp that looks like a doily and was inspired by Sandie's gorgeous card below. Love the color combo of red, black and white.  My picture is a bit over exposed but I am happy with the end result. Thanks so much for the gorgeous inspiration Sandie!

Hello, Craft Room & Goodbye Worries (And a Bulk Sale!)

Happy New Year's Eve my friends.  Happy to say I've been spending time in the craft room creating and doing some purging. First up...some inky goodnesss!  How many of you agree with this fabulous sentiment from Right at Home?  Crafting is one of the few things that can take my mind off my worries.  Love crafty time and hope to have more of it in 2018.  Playing along with the Inkspirational Challenging...I love a good stamping only card so this is perfect for me to play along.

Bulk Sale
Now...onto a Bulk Sale. I have a ton of stamps...and it was time for a good old purge.  I'm selling four boxes of stamps and dies. The four piles below are what is for sale. Each box will have at least the following - I may put in a few more things.

Celebrate Your Day

Hi there!  My new craft space is almost finished and today was the first day that I went down there to play!  Love, love, love having a dedicated space. I'm sure I'll move things around a bit before I get things into the spot where they work best.  But again...it is SO NICE to have a space again.  So...when I saw the current challenge over at Inkspirational I knew I wanted to play along.  The last couple of years I have made several graduation cards in a graffiti/collage type format so this is pretty close to those cards. This card is going into the mail for a dear friend who turns 40 very soon!  I used stamps from four different companies...love doing that (CAS-ual Fridays, Verve, PaperSmooches and The Craft's Meow (out of business).

Hope you are all sneaking in some crafty time too!

Always Thinking of You

Having the week off between Christmas and New Year's meant lots of time to create which makes me oh so happy!  My mum was asking for a card set for one of her very dear friends so I set about making cards to include in her card set. And of course, I'm always looking for challenges to play along with too so in came the current Inkspirational challenge.  Instead of going for the New Year's or celebration theme from the inspiration photo I chose to be inspired by the colors. Love the combination of gold, black and white.  Thinking of you cards are also always handy to have too.

Congrats!

Happy Sunday morning my friends. I've been up this morning catching up on emails and a touch of volunteer work for school activities and wanted to stop in and share a card I made yesterday.  A friend of Ryan's is going into the Army and his family was hosting his going away/high school graduation party last night. We've known Trevor since he was in grade school and Pat and Trevor's dad coached the boys in baseball for many, many years. So this card was sent with lots of love and prayers for success and safety!

I played along with the Inkspirational challenge of primary colors. Perfect challenge for this card!

Grateful Me...Wonderful You (one little word and stamps for sale)

Well, after a really nice long break for Christmas and New Year's, I'm back at it today. The boys are back to school and it's time to get into our winter routine!  I had time in the craft room yesterday and played along with a few challenges.  This card is for the Inkspirational Challenge to make a thank you card with something new.  I have used all of my newer stamps, so I decided to play along use stamps from stamp sets that have yet to see ink. This card was inspired by this card.  Not sure why my picture of  my card is a bit blurry, but this card is already in an envelope, so no retakes today!

Have any of you done the One Little Word for 2016? I've decided on my word:  cherish.  I don't think I've done this in the past, but found myself thinking about it quite a bit.  In my head, I had two words:  slow down.  Often, I feel as though I am running from one thing to the next.  I really need to slow down and cherish what is happening at the moment versus worrying about what has to be done next.  It's a balance for me.  There is always so much to cherish and I'm going to try and be more intentional about cherishing the small and big moments.  If you've chosen a word for this year, I'd love to hear it!

PS Thank you for all of you who have purchased stamps.  If you are interested, please take a look at my For Sale page.  I've added a lot over the weekend.  A few of you indicated your email was getting returned...if you could leave your email in a comment, I will send you one. Thanks so much.

Inspired by Sandie {and Blogger commenting}

Happy Tuesday friends. When I saw the current Inkspirational Challenge, I knew that I had to play along.  My cousin, Sandie, is the MUSE for the current challenge and I absolutely adore her CAS style.   I immediately knew what card I wanted to case. Please see her card below.  I love the small scale of this card, but went a bit bigger with my images.   Sandie also loves the PTI linen impression plate.  I'm not sure that you can see it on this card (poor photography on my part), but I added that as well.   Be sure to pop on over to Sandie's blog. I'm sure you'll be inspired to play along.

I also wanted to chat about Blogger commenting.  Joyce was nice enough to let me know that my comments weren't displaying with my email address.  I had no idea.  A couple of months ago I unintentionally switched to Google+.  I think that is what turned my email address to the "no reply" commenting.  Thanks to Joyce's note, I researched this a bit further and switched my blog back to a regular Blogger profile.  For information on how to turn your email on for a regular Blogger email, click here;  For info on how to revert back to a regular Blogger profile, click here.  I'm so thankful Joyce pointed this out to me as I always feel bad when there is no email to respond to on a blog comment where someone has asked a question.

May Sunshine and Laughter Brighten Your Days

Happy Saturday!  I'm popping in to visit after Collin's first basketball game of the season.  I have to say I love going to the games...they are super fast paced.  They got win this morning and most importantly Collin is having fun.  Pat is the assistant coach this year.  He loves coaching.

I've been itching to craft all week, but have been too tired to get myself off the couch at night. So...this morning before the game and exercising, I made this card.  I wanted to try the chalkboard technique that I've been seeing in blog land.  I used the Lil Inker die for my chalkboard and a Verve sentiment from the Brighter Days set.  Since I'm trying something new, I'm entering in in the current Simon Says Challenge and the color combo is for the new Inkspirational Challenge.  My talented cousin, Sandie, is on their awesome design time.  Although I noticed I was supposed to use dark pink...woops!

So that's all for today...heading out to see Les Mis tonight and looking forward to it!  Hope you are having a fabulous weekend!
