Time Out: You are terrific!

We're back with a reminder post for Time Out!  Our challenge in a Special Breast Cancer Awareness or Friendship Challenge. We're sponsor by CAS-ual Friday Stamps and the winner will receive a $25 gift certificate plus a special prize for those who use pink as the twist challenge!  The winner will be chosen randomly.

Each time I make a card I'm trying to make two so that I can build up my stash of cards a bit...so you can decide which one you like better - the pink/orange background or the green!  I have had my Zig markers out in ages so I loved embossing the flowers and leaves (from CAS-ual Fridays Pretty Posies) and then inking them up with my zigs.  Love the end result!

We'd love for you to join us over at Time Out!  Please come play along! And be sure to check out our fabulous guest designer, Yulia!  We're so happy to have us playing along with us.

Time Out: Dream Big

Woot! Woot!  It's time for another challenge at Time Out.  And it's a fun one...right up my alley:  Celebrations with the optional twist of one layer cards.  I love one layer cards!  We are also lucky to be sponsored by one of my favorite companies:  CAS-ual Fridays.  This gorgeous sentiment is from the CAS-ual Fridays - Dream then Do set.  I love the various fonts and had fun inking this up with multiple inks using my Misti.

So come on over and play with us at Time Out!  If you twist, you can win a $25 gift card from CAS-ual Fridays.

Time Out: You Matter to Me

We are back with a reminder for the current challenge at Time Out Challenges.

It is our Inspired by words challenge and the words are:

'Friends are connected heart to heart, distance and time can't break them apart'

You can use any of these words to inspire you or the whole phrase. I loved this simple sentiment from the Lovely Greetings CAS-ual Fridays set.

We have the wonderful CAS-ual Fridays Stamps sponsoring this challenge with a $25 gift certificate for our winner.

For this challenge we have the  Jane as our Guest Designer. We are so pleased to have her playing along with us for our challenge!

Take a look here to see how Jane and our DT were inspired by this phrase.

Thanks a Bunch

I mentioned Saturday that I had time to play along with some challenges. I also cleaned up my crafting space a bit and found this Altenew flower I stamped on my stamping weekend back in February along with the twine that came with some new stamps.  So...it was the perfect time to play along with the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge:  Thanks Twine.  I love a good, clean, crisp thank you card and my stash needs several more of these!

Warm Wishes {and Ryan's winter dance}

Happy Monday my friends.  How are all your holiday preparations coming along?  Our decorations are up in the house and the Christmas cards are in the mail. Very, very little shopping is done...so that is the plan for this week to get that moving along!  We had a busy weekend of wresting, parties, dances and errands.  I had time to craft last night after not having crafted for a couple of weeks due to Thanksgiving. I  played along with the current CAS-ual Fridays Challenge of snowflake...it has been way too long since I've played along there.  Love Michele's challenges.  These are new Neat & Tangled goodies that I got during the recent sales.  Spent lots of time with my Zig markers last night so get ready for more watercoloring this week!

Thought I'd also share some pictures from Ryan's winter formal. This is the first time they have done a winter formal and he had a blast. It was on a river boat on the Ohio River. I used to go to sorority dancers on river boats!  The group of kids he went with are all a great group of friends. Love these kids...and you can tell they were having fun!

Thinking of You

I'm in love with my new Zig markers...you're going to be seeing them quite often for a while over here so I hope you don't get tired of them!  Of course, the orange and yellows are my favorite colors (yes...no surprise there either).  Thankful that I watched some of the videos over on Catherine Pooler's blog so I knew what kind of paper to order to use them on.  The UPS and US Postal Service have been enjoying all the deliveries to my door, but I'm not sure my wallet is!

Anyways...enough chit chat!  Here's my card for the current CAS-ual Fridays challenge of embossing...I took the simple route and embossed by sentiment.  Happy Monday...this is a short four day week for me as I take off Friday to get ready to leave on vacation on Saturday.  Can't wait!

You're Holding All the Cards {and Birthday Party Pictures}

Happy Tuesday my friends. This is a card I made a while back but hadn't had a chance to post. It's using CAS-ual Fridays stamps and dies. I created a stencil using the dies and then used embossing paste to stencil the card suit shapes. Love the end result, but the picture of the card doesn't do it justice.  It is so hard to photograph black cards!

I've entering this in Virginia's View Clean and Simple Card challenge.  I could enter this every day!  I love CAS cards!

Before I go, I thought I'd share the layouts from Marcel's birthday party. Still loving the Project Life App!  These would have taken months to get into a scrapbook...instead of days!

CAS-ual Fridays Guest Designer

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to win over at the CAS-ual Fridays challenge with this card. I was super please to receive a gift card to Simon Says Stamps as well as my choice of a stamp set and dies from CAS-ual Fridays.  The best part is I get to be a guest designer for Michele's fabulous CAS-ual Friday stamps. You all know I love them from my prior time on Michele's design team. I knew exactly which set I wanted:  In the Cards and the coordinating dies.  Pat regularly hosts poker at our house so these stamps were used with him in mind. The first card will be for our anniversary this month. I thought he'd appreciate the card theme.  As our kids get older too, there is always a high school or college graduation on the horizon so I thought the card below would be perfect to have in my stash.

Thanks again for the chance to show off your gorgeous CAS-ual Fridays stamps Michele.

You Mean the World To Me

I've updated my stamps for sale page.  If you are interested, please click here.

This is one of the cards I made for the current CAS-ual Fridays Tic Tac Toe challenge. I decided to go with the middle column challenge to make a card with white, gray and black.  I used Verve stamps for the sentiment and arrow and added a few small embellishments to finish off the card.  I thought this would be perfect to give to one of our boys or to my hubby!  I'd encourage you to go play along with CAS-ual Fridays challenge. This is the last challenge of 2014.

Love This

Happy Wednesday my friends.  We're super busy this week with today being the second day of performance for Oliver.  The first performance wast last night and they perform through Sunday.  I think we're all going to be exhausted by the time we get to Sunday evening!

But...back to my card.  CAS-ual Fridays has a fun challenge to use hearts with summer colors.  I was inspired by this card by Heather. I added thread to the back of the sentiment panel to add a little more of a whimsical feel.

You are the Best Dad

As I mentioned yesterday, Pat's father's day card was made on Saturday.  I played along with the CAS-ual Fridays challenge to use ribbon on a guy's card.  The touch of chevron ribbon was used in place of use patterned paper. I still love this Craft's Meow set. It's been getting a ton of inky time with me lately.  Pat laughed that I put ties on his card as he rarely wears ties, but he did like the design.

On Sunday morning I snapped a picture of Pat with his dad and two out of three of his brother. His youngest brother was away on a guys weekend.   They are all laughing which describes the Mangan family.  Laughter is never far away from any conversation!

Time Out: Fabulous, Amazing, Terrific

Hello there! It's time for another challenge at Time Out.  For our current challenge, the theme is Summer with an optional twist of flowers.  We have CAS-ual Fridays sponsoring us (a $25 gift certificate!) which is absolutely fabulous.  I used three sets for this card:  Truth Is (for the sentiment), CAS-ual Elegance (for the leaves) and Mums the Word (for the flowers).  I love the sweet little scene.

Be sure to also pop over to Christine's blog. She is our guest designer this week and we'd love for you to see her gorgeous creations.

We love seeing how you are inspired by the challenge at Time Out.  Be sure to pop on over and check out the design team's creations and play along with us.  And of course, don't forget to check out the prize from CAS-ual Fridays!  You will not be disappointed!

Time Out Reminder: Who's Turning Fifty?

I mentioned earlier this week that we'll be celebrating my brother Neal's 50th birthday on Saturday.  Hard to believe he's 50...he certainly doesn't look 50!  This card is a reminder for the current Time Out Challenge to make a birthday card with an optional twist of making a masculine birthday card. The perfect challenge for me to make Neal's card!  The current Retro Sketches challenge is an awesome challenge to use up some of your patterned paper.   I love the sketch and always struggle with where to play my enamel elements so the sketch already having them placed definitely helped me out!

And here's a good little lesson for us all!
