With Gratitude

Happy Friday Eve!  I'm heading up to Michigan for a long weekend with two of my girlfriends. Looking forward to lots of relaxing time together!  Put before I go, popping in to share a card I made this weekend for the Inspired by All the Little Things challenge.  It's taken me all week to get a picture and it's not even a good one!  But...keeping it quick...as I need to pack, but I loved this inspiration photo so I wanted to quickly share it. I hope you all have fun weekend plans too!

With Deepest Sympathy

Okay...so I know this is a sympathy card and the inspiration photo is a wedding inspiration photo, but doesn't this gorgeous die shout out to be played with using the inspiration photo below?  Yes...that is what I thought too!  These are my first stamps/dies from Pinkfresh Studio and I'm in love. They are gorgeous and I can't wait to ink them up often. I was inspired by the gorgeous cards Amy made for their most recent launch and had to immediately order them!

Happy Sunday my friends. Yesterday morning started with some crafty time and ended with a robotics competition for Jonathon.  The weekend has been extra nice as Ryan is home visiting for the weekend.  We had a game of Risk on Friday night and the boys all enjoyed playing pool together last night too. I love having everyone back home.   This week was also awesome as we closed on my mum's old house...so we are now back to only owning one home.  Can you hear the celebration happening?!  And have I told you what a rock star my hubby is on getting everything out of my mum's house and working through the inspection etc.?  Well he is awesome!

But back to why you are here...a card :)  When I saw the Inspired by All the Little Things blog I knew exactly what I wanted to make and it translated directly to my card...quickly!  This card features all Frantic Stamper dies.  I know I'll be using those stitched bloom dies a lot.  This card was popped in the mail today to a friend whose grandson has a brain tumor. Thankfully they are pretty sure it is benign but he has surgery on Monday so we're saying lots of prayers for sweet little Jack.  

Thanks for the Gift

To days in a row of posts!  Yeah!   Today's card is going in the mail to my sister-in-law who came down from Chicago and provided us with a housewarming gift.  I looked up the Inspired By post...and for some reason thought the ornaments, etc. were in pink...yeah well think again!  But I made pink poinsettias...and I'm rolling with it!  I need to mass produce some thank you notes...as I am in need, but it will be a bit before I get to that.

Forever in Our Hearts

There is something about a clean craft room that inspires me to create!  And a fabulous inspiration photo never hurts either.  When I saw the current challenge over Inspired by the Little Things I knew immediately which set I wanted to pull out to play along. This card very quickly came together and is already in the mail for a co-worker who lost his 95 year old father last week.  His stories of his dad's love filled life were beautiful.

 

Happy Birthday Mum!

Happy Friday Eve!  We're having a bit of a whirlwind week over here. College orientation for Ryan on Sunday through Monday...celebrating my mum's 77th birthday yesterday and ending the week on Saturday with Ryan's graduation party.  So...I'm going to make it quick today. We celebrated with my mum yesterday with a few presents and dinner with all of us.  I love that my brothers and their families live in the same city. We all went out to dinner together last night to celebrate my beautiful mum. Love, love, love her.

This is the card that went with her present. Played along with two challenges:  Inspired by All the Little Things and AAA Water Color challenge.  Love how vibrant the water colors look against the navy.

Popping in on this Tuesday (that is also my fabulous hubby's birthday!) to share two cards for the Inspired By All the Little Things challenge. The thank you card below is the first card I made. Not in love with it...and then I went on and made the top card.  This will going to a friend who mentioned she loved this verse and who I simply adore.  She knows who she is...and this will arrive in a couple of days for her!  The white embossing on the black looks so much better in real life.
