We Wish You a Merry Christmas

Happy Sunday my friends.  We have had a weekend filled with tons of family to celebrate Thanksgiving together.  I'll admit that I'm happy to have had a quiet Sunday...we've gotten most of our Christmas decorations up but I'm sitting here staring at a half lift Christmas tree!  We have my mum's tree too and Pat is deciding whether or not to pull that out instead.  We'll keep you posted.

In the mean time, I got to catching up on a few blogs and saw the current challenge over at AAA Cards where the challenge is for Christmas. I made this card at my crafting weekend so it's the perfect time to share it.  I love those sweet little silhouette images from Catherine Pooler.  

And here's a sweet little picture of Marcel and Nick relaxing together.  Marcel was rubbing Nick's belly as he sat and watched videos.

Thanks and Appreciation

Hope your week is going well! We have lots of traveling and fun events happening our house the last several weeks and the next few weeks, so I have a short work week this week. We'll be heading to Nashville on Thursday for Collin's show choir to perform at the Grand Ole Opry. It is an incredible opportunity and we are really looking forward to seeing our niece when we are down there.

But...you're not here for that!  I have a quick and easy card for the current CAS challenge over at AAA cards to make a die cut the center of attention on your card. I stenciled the card base and then added the die cut thanks along with a little extra stitching die cut.  Quick and easy and a great masculine thank you if I do say so myself!

Posting three days in a row! This card was also inspired by the most recent Stampin' Up catalog.  There was a card in there with a similar embossed background.  For my card, I embossed the Hero Arts background and then colored it using by Zig markers.  I finished it off with a flower and tag from PaperSmooches and a sentiment from Reverse Confetti. I playing along over at AAA Cards where the challenge is to use a tag.  I love mixing/matching goodies from different stamp companies!

Happy Birthday Mum!

Happy Friday Eve!  We're having a bit of a whirlwind week over here. College orientation for Ryan on Sunday through Monday...celebrating my mum's 77th birthday yesterday and ending the week on Saturday with Ryan's graduation party.  So...I'm going to make it quick today. We celebrated with my mum yesterday with a few presents and dinner with all of us.  I love that my brothers and their families live in the same city. We all went out to dinner together last night to celebrate my beautiful mum. Love, love, love her.
