Snowflakes! {and a word on Project Life}

Whenever I go away on my crafty weekend, I tend to take too many supplies with me, but this time I didn't take as much and I used just about everything (including these snowflakes!)  I decided to make two cards with them:  one for the Festive Friday Challenge and one for CASE this Sketch.  Two very CAS cards...not surprising at all.  I've decided that one night I need to sit in front of the TV and die cut a whole bunch of things so that I use my dies more often!  How about you?  Are you good about using your dies?  Me...I'm pretty hit or miss on using them!

Now...let's chat about Project Life. At the beginning of the year, I decided to do digital PL.  I did about 10 pages worth of layouts and it was driving me a bit crazy. I spend a lot of time in front of the computer for work. So, I moved back to the traditional form of PL.  I'm so much happier!  It takes me a lot less time and my albums were quickly up to date. Do you scrapbook?  Digital or traditional? Project Life? I'd love to hear how you capture your families memories!  Our family album is PL and I do individual albums for the boys activities/school events and they are super simple!

Awesome cards Lynn...love the snowflakes!

I keep wanting to jump onto the PL bandwagon (non-digital) but have been ISO of a kit that I love including the album and clear page dealios...nada, can't find anything.

Beautiful CAS card, Lynn!

Good to hear you're caught up with your scrapbooks. I too have many - one series is only for the family vacations we've taken. Those are all finished but I also have a school scrapbook for both boys - way behind in them. Then they each have their own book, starting at birth on up, and those are also unfinished. Once I started making cards, the scrapbooking fell by the wayside. Hope to some day work on them!

oh, those snowflakes are bold and beautiful...you know I love my dies! Much to the sadness of the Cricut still sitting in the corner of my room :( Jake was born before the scrapbooking era so his baby book is one of the old fashioned ones! LOL I did make him a little highschool graduation book, though. I wish PL was around then!

Loving that snowflake! I use dies a LOT on my cards - love them :) Good for you for cutting a bunch out to have on hand. No scrap booking here - at least not yet LOL. Maybe when I'm a grandma :) regardless of the method, I"m sure they will be treasured.

LOVELY take on the sketch, Lynn! I like the background paper for your large snowflake! I hardly make any pages for my family scrapbooking since I make SO many cards! Perhaps one day when I am tired of making cards, I will catch on making the traditional scrapbook pages. I don't think I will ever do digital PL...however, never say never, right?

I do photobooks about twice a year. I have been thinking about starting PL or traditional scrapbook. But have not got time yet :(

If I have my dies out in front of me, I'll use 'em. Otherwise I do tend to forget what I have! I've even been known to fussy cut even when I have a coordinating die because I can't be bothered to spend ages looking for it! LOL!
Love those snowflakes! :)
I can't get into scrapbooking yet - digital or paper. I do love looking at LOs for inspiration though! x

Those big ol' snowflakes rock and I love that the second card is a non-Christmas one. :)

Love the simplicity of the design and the bold pops of red! Thanks for joining us at Festive Friday! (no scrapbooking for me!)

Oh, these are both so lovely, Lynn!
I am very good about using my dies-- I very rarely make a card without at least one die....

Sigh. Beautiful and elegantly simple cards. Sigh too that I USED to scrapbook but haven't done it for a couple of years. I miss it.

SO gorgeous... I love the one you made for our challenge, but they're both so beautiful! I have a lot of dies compared to what I use, however, I don't ever create a card without a die of some sort - so yes, I need to remember more of what I have, but also yes, I use them all the time! Good reminder to really dig through and use what I have! Thanks for playing again this week :)

Fabulous! I did exactly the same thing with the digi PL. I started at the beginning of the year all gungho and now I haven't touched it. Love both of these amazing cards, Lynn!

I'm finding these snowflakes a real challenge to get out of the dies (are they PTI?). Scrapbook, nope? Print photos? Nope... but at least we know that my kids exist, they appear on my work blog from time to time, grin.
