Hope You Get Well Soon

Have you seen that Mojo Monday is celebrating its 300th challenge? Isn't that absolutely amazing!  Way to go Julee on hosting so many fabulous challenges. The prize list is amazing!  I mentioned last week that I cleaned up my dies and labeled which stamp set went with each die.  It is certainly making it easier for me to pull out my dies!  I played with three Verve sets for this challenge:  Borderline, Making a Statement and Treasured words.

I loved stamping so much for this card.  There is something so therapeutic about stamping!  So there you have it...my end result for two challenges:  Mojo Monday and Tuesday Trigger!  Happy Sunday my friends.

Hello My Friend

Hello my friends.  I'm finished with my Christmas card inspiration week and am sharing a card for the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger photo.  I love the color combination and I'll be back tomorrow with another color combination.  I wasn't ready to put it away after one card!

Today we're continuing our celebration with the Mangans...and the entire family will be zip lining! 29 people zip lining on an adult and children's zip line.  Can't wait to share the pictures with you! It should be a super fun day!

Hope your Saturday is fabulous too!

On Your Special Day

Happy Sunday my friends!  We've had a beautiful, relaxing weekend so far and I'm sure it is going to continue.  I'm popping in to share my mum's birthday card with you.  Cristina was a very big enabler with the most recent WPlus9 release and I had to buy this new set.  I had lots of fun die cutting and stamping the flowers.  I'm sure you'll be seeing lots of these flowers.  My brother and sister-in-law gave my mum gorgeous roses for her birthday yesterday that match the colors of the flowers on her card.  So she has roses to match her card :)

The card was also inspired by the Tuesday Trigger below. There are tons of jumping off points from this inspiration photo but I was inspired by the yellows and the floral patterns.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! xoxo

May Peace, Joy and Love Be Yours

Hi everyone...I'm back from my fabulous scrapbooking weekend.  Here we are just before we all hopped in our cars to come home today.  Marcel was in here when I was cropping my photos and said, "Why are you all looking so sexy in your picture?"  I replied, "Why do you say that?"  "Well you know mommy, you're all posing like this..."  And he proceeded to imitate the hangs on the hips.  Oh my...he's only seven...we already have our hands full!  Doesn't he realizes hands on the hips makes you look thinner?! :)

I had to pop in and share my card for the current Tuesday Trigger before it expired!  I'll be back on Tuesday with more cards and a bit more about our fabulous weekend away!

July Fourth Parade

Happy Sunday to you!  I thought I'd pop in and share a few pictures from the July 4th parade!  It is our annual tradition to go to the parade in Montgomery with his side of the family and all the cousins.  We were short a few cousins this year, but the kids had a great time despite all the over 100% temps!  They are all smiles as the got candy for their bags...and the best part was the prade participates that were passing our ice pops!  Definitely ate those fast! And we had our sweet neighbors Elle and Will come too!  Definitely a great way to start the fourth!  PS  I did have a good laugh that Marcel choose his Team GB Olympics shirt to wear to the July 4th parade...has to show his heritage :)!

I also wanted to share a card for this week's Tuesday Trigger.  When I think of poppies, I always think of my nana.  She loves poppies and has painted a ton of gorgeous oil paintings over the years. A simple masked card using PTI Botanical Silhouettes.  I haven't used this set in too long!  Thanks for a great inspiration photo Cath!

Red & Rustic

It's been a really long time since I played along with a Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab, but I absolutely loved the current challenge and couldn't pass it up.  I picked up the Basic Grey Little Black Dress paper pad a couple weeks ago and immediately thought of the plaid paper in the back.  I thought it went with the rustic feel of the inspiration photo.  Added a bit of twine, a sentiment and some sweet little jingle bells and off we go.  Thanks to Laurie for this card that inspired my layout!

Happy Birthday

Happy Friday!  I'm looking forward to not having too much to do this weekend!  What about you?  Anything exciting going on?

I loved the Tuesday Trigger inspiration photo.  At first, I was going to do create a green background pattern inspired by the chair, but then I decided to keep my card simple.  I'm using the PTI set Iconic Images and a Verve sentiment. The background strip of paper is from Basic Grey.  Trying to increase my stock of birthday cards...at the beginning of the week, I only had one!  So..look for more birthday cards coming your way!

Tuesday Trigger

Oh my, when I saw the current Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger, I kept thinking about which set I wanted to use.  I adore medallions and so I had quite a few options, but I went back to my PTI Mehndi Medallions set.  I kept the design fairly simple while adding a few layers to my medallion.  To finish off the top panel, I slightly inked the edges with Ranger Distress Ink Pumice Stone.  Pumice Stone is one of my all time favorite colors in the Ranger inks.  So versatile.

One on One Time

Having four children means that rarely do I have one on one time with each of the boys.  On Tuesday night when I got home from work, Ryan was home by himself and Pat was out with the three little boys.  It was a great night...Ryan and I sat and talked for a solid hour.  Chatted about what is happening with him right now.  It was so nice to sit and talk together without distractions.  When everyone else arrived home, I gave him a hug and kissed him and said, "I love talking to you."  He gave me that awkward little smile.  I said, "I know you think I'm weird."  His response, "Mom, I've certainly seen weirder moms."  I started laughing.  He then proceeded to say, "Mom, just don't stalk me at public events."  By this point I was laughing harder.  He just had his first school dance on Friday night.  It was a very casual dance, nothing formal yet!  His comment was his way of telling me not to show up as a chaperone!  But I do have a confession, I made sure I picked up from the dance on Friday night so I could check out what was going on!  Oh how I love my time with my boys...one on one or all together.

Now...a card to share.  This is my first card for the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger.  The inspiration was this sweater.  I loved the honeycomb look on the sweater and pulled out my BasicGrey paper with a very similar pattern.  I used Ranger Distress Ink - Antique Linen around the edges of the card and the circles.  Hope you like the card.  It reminds me of Karen's style...which I just adore.

PS My giveaway is still going...check it out here.
