Now...onto some crafting...I think it is safe to say that I love challenges...yes, I love challenges. I loved the colors in this week's Play Date Cafe challenge, but wasn't happy with my first card. And, guess what...I found another challenge to play along with...One Layer Wednesday. Their challenge this week was a card with a tree on it...so...I had to try again for Play Date...and needed to meet the criteria of the OLW challenge.
Here is my first attempt:
And them my second attempt for OLW and Play Date:
Pure happiness with this second card...SU Melon Mambo and More Mustard...and lots of clear embossing powder. I'll also be entering this for this week's Card Challenge. Ingredients: SU Crumb Cake Paper; More Mustard and Melon Mambo Ink; Ranger Distress Ink; PTI Fancy Flourishes; Hero Arts Text Stamps; PTI Stamps; Scor Pal; Clear Embossing Powder; Versamark; Making Memories Buttons

How awesome of your husband to help you cut out so many footballs!
What's not to like about the first card? It's gorgeous! I love the vintage look of the text behind the flourish. Your second card is a stunning CAS!
Both are beautiful! Wonderful use of the colors. Love the second cards clean lines. Thanks for joining us at the PDCC this week.
Hi Lynn, it's me again stalking your blog :) Wanted to tell you that your PDCC card is beautiful! I love how you were able to make 2 different colors of leaves in the tree...what a great effect! Thanks for playing along with us at the Play Date Cafe!

Beautiful cards. Love the old time feel of the first and the simplicity of the second.

BOTH of these cards are really fantastic Lynn! I love how you tucked the buttons behind the label on the first card, and the simple beauty of the second card is just tops!
