Reason 101 Why I Love My Husband...

...well not really reason 101...but I do love him for so many things.   Today's happiness is the 26 footballs that have been cut out of cardboard in preparation for Jonathon's football team's homecoming float.  That's a lot of footballs.  He didn't bat an eye when I told him "we're signed up to help with decorations...would you mind cutting out footballs?"  Just one of 101 reasons why I love that man...not a complaint...and he's going to spray paint them tomorrow...even better!

Now...onto some crafting...I think it is safe to say that I love challenges...yes, I love challenges.  I loved the colors in this week's Play Date Cafe challenge, but wasn't happy with my first card.  And, guess what...I found another challenge to play along with...One Layer Wednesday.  Their challenge this week was a card with a tree on it...so...I had to try again for Play Date...and needed to meet the criteria of the OLW challenge.

Here is my first attempt:
And them my second attempt for OLW and Play Date:
Pure happiness with this second card...SU Melon Mambo and More Mustard...and lots of clear embossing powder.  I'll also be entering this for this week's Card Challenge

Ingredients:   SU Crumb Cake Paper; More Mustard and Melon Mambo Ink; Ranger Distress Ink; PTI Fancy Flourishes; Hero Arts Text Stamps; PTI Stamps; Scor Pal; Clear Embossing Powder; Versamark; Making Memories Buttons

How awesome of your husband to help you cut out so many footballs!

What's not to like about the first card? It's gorgeous! I love the vintage look of the text behind the flourish. Your second card is a stunning CAS!
