You Make My Life Brighter

When I saw the current Runway Inspired challenge, I loved the colors.  For both my cards, I used some new Craft's Meow stamp sets that I purchased this week. I was so very sorry to see that they were closing. I think I own all but one set that Karen Baker designed. She is an incredible designer, so I'm hopeful that she'll start designing for another company soon.  I'm wishing all the designers at Craft's Meow nothing but a ton of success in their future!

So...two quick very CAS cards (just the way I like it) for the current Runway Inspired Challenge. Happy Wednesday my friends!

We Are So Proud of You

Happy Friday my friends...I hope your weekend gets off to a fabulous start.  This is our last weekend before the official baseball season starts so I'm looking forward to relaxing.  We will be on the go from now until mid June with three of our boys playing baseball.  I love watching them play. It's amazing how much they improve from year to year.
Back to business...I'm loving very CAS cards lately...have you noticed?  Here's one using a Craft's Meow set...immediately thought of it when I saw the current CASE this Sketch challenge.  Happy crafting friends!
PS a couple of you have asked what type of inks I use. The majority of time I use Stampin' Up Inks..an occasional Ranger Distress Ink or Hero Art ink.  If you ever have questions about the supplies I use, just leave a comment and your e-mail if it's not linked to your comment and I'll get back to you.  I have been really bad about including my supply lists!

Thanksgiving Recap {and a couple cards to share}

Hi there, I'm a bit delayed in sharing Thanksgiving photos.  It was a very busy, but wonderful weekend together.  We hosted Thanksgiving for the Mangan side of the family (13 adults and 14 children).   A house full, but we were super blessed with very warm weather and spent most of the day outside.   The kids loved being outside...with a variety of activities...a football game and finger nail polishing...even the boys had their fingers painted from some persistent cousins!

And then it was dinner time...two tables for the kids (I  missed taking a picture of the little ones table...maybe I was worried about getting my plate)...and one big table for the adults.  Of course, a crazy toast from my husband who may or may not have really enjoyed the beer our brother-in-law brought...and a lot of laughs.
And then back to lots of great play time with all the cousins...
Jakey got a little hot towards the end of the night!

And of course, more cards to share!  First up is a CAS rustic card using some of the new sets from The Craft's Meow's release last month...inspired by the current Retro Sketch.

And the second one is a just for fun card for the women's leadership group I mentioned yesterday. I love the sentiment.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving my friends!  We're hosting Pat's side of the family today...so we'll have a houseful of family - 13 children and 12 adults.  We love to entertain, so it should be a great day.  Here's hoping the weather is nice so that the kids can run around outside too!
My card features a gorgeous Craft's Meow set from the super talented Karen Baker.  I love the flourishes on the leaves.
There is so much to be thankful for today and always...be sure to tell someone why you are thankful for them!  Happy Thanksgiving...I am thankful for you my fabulous blog friends!

Time to Wish You a Happy Birthday

Pink and green...yes I say this every single time...one of my favorite color combos!  I had fun using  patterned paper for this awesome sketch over at The Craft's Meow.  For the sentiment I did a bit of masking to add the birthday sentiment instead of it saying father's day.  Love when you can mix and match your stamps!

In other news, I've tried four recipes from Pinterest over the last week. Two were not very good...but the second two that were VERY EASY were good - one was muffins and the other a dessert.  Jonathon asked me, "Mom, is this the year you are going to become a cooker?"  I started cracking up.  Since I work full time, Pat does almost all the cooking!

Tomorrow is Another Day

The Craft's Meow is the sponsor for this weeks Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge.  The challenge was to make a bright card.  I still have a few little pieces of this gorgeous paper pack from My Mind's Eye so the bright stripes plus the sentiment from TCM Inspired by Audrey set made the perfect card.  I finished it off with a touch of twine and a Stampin' Up brad.  Love when cards come together easily!

In other news, Marcel's biggest accomplishment of first grade is on the playground.  He proclaimed, "I can hang upside down on the monkey bars.  Isn't that SO AWESOME?"  Have to love the enthusiasm of a little guy!

Congrats Grad!

Stopping by very quickly today!  I'm typing this post Wednesday night when my house is completely quiet!  Pat has the boys out at the pool.  I feel like I've been sitting for three days straight at work (tons of meetings), but I needed to come home quickly and make a card for a business friend who just got her master's.  I'll see her early today...so I needed a card.  Thank goodness for awesome stamps from The Craft's Meow, a sketch from The Craft's Meow and yet again another gorgeous color combo from Colour Q. I'm ready to roll!  And now...I'm off for a run ...way too much sitting this week!  Hope you have a fabulous Thursday!

Happy Birthday Sandy (and the parade of cousins!)

It's my very dear, dear friend, Sandy's birthday today!  She is a lover of anything red and add a touch of black and it is even better!  I popped the card into the mail to her on Monday so it is safe to share today.  Sending you all kinds of love today Sandy!  Happy Happy Birthday!
Her card is inspired by the Craft's Meow Sketch Challenge this month!

I also wanted to share more pictures from this past weekend...we are so lucky that our children get along so well with their cousins.

From top left:  Connor...goofing around, Jakey and Ally playing on the slide, JayJay...I love the sleeveless shirt.
From bottom left:  Will - can I be any cuter?  Jonathon and the girls!  (Shelby, Ella and Katie) and sweet Ally - I love those curls!

You can do, you can be, anything you put your mind to.

It's the end of the school year...the boys will all be out on Friday.  Last week Collin's class had their field day.  They had a blast (and Marcel was happy he got to participate too).  The best part of the day was the paint balloon launcher (top middle) and the teacher's having pies smashed in their faces :)  They slept well that night!

And...I have a card to share for the current The Craft's Meow Sketch Challenge.  Have you noticed a them this week's with me playing with my goodies from there?  I decided to make the side border subtle my inking the background in a different color.   Love how easy it is to line up these borders from the Retro Background set. Happiness...
