Happy New Year's week! It's time for a new challenge over at Time Out! We're only challenge #100 - isn't that amazing! I love being on this design team and we're back with the perfect challenge for you. We challenge you to be Thankful and ours sponsor is Verve with the winner getting a stamp set of their choice. You all know how much I love Verve and Julee's amazing designs and sentiments so I had to play along for the challenge both this week and next with the reminder post.
My card today features two Verve sets: Scripture Medley 5 and Borderline. We won't talk about how many times I stamped the sentiment and embossed it before I was happy with the end result. My white ink was a bit too juicy for stamping the smaller worlds. So I switched over to Versamark and white embossing powder. To finish off the card I die cut the sentiment, stamped the heart border three different times and then adhered both panels to the base. Love the neutral color palette.

I am thankful for you my dear cousin! And all the inspiration you provide me and all our players!! I love this sweet little border you used for this card....a new one to me. Love the colour combo and what a lovely sentiment and all the words can be seen!!
Gorgeous neutrals, Lynn ... the hearts make for such a sweet background for that lovely verse! Words to live by! Hugs, Anita :)
What a great text! Love how you used a tag for it on that beautiful subtile border! Hugs, Gerrina
I love how you let that wonderful sentiment take center stage, Lynn. The border stamp lent just the right amount of heartfulness. (Not a word but you get the drift).
Wonderful card Lynn. I love the neutrals. Those sweet little hearts in the background look great behind that awesome sentiment panel. The stitched rectangle adds perfect detail.
Beautiful card, Lynn. I do so love this verse, and must put it into practice more! Those hearts compliment it perfectly, too. Stay warm, my friend! Bev
This is fantastic, Lynn. Love how you've got that heart background and the way you did your sentiment. Reminds me of a bookmark, and gives me the idea that I should make some bookmarks soon with inspiring quotes.
Happy New Year!!
May this New Year be special in every way ... bringing you the gift of love and excitement.
I will introduce Japanese New Year's customs.
In Japan, there is a New Year holiday where family and relatives get together.
On New Year, Japanese children receive gifts of money known as "Otoshidama".
Otoshidama is given to children by adult relatives such as uncles, aunts and grandparents.
The amount of Otoshidama grows as the child older, for example, 1000 yen for children under 10, and 3000 yen for children over 10.
Otoshidama is one of the exciting traditions of New Year, which children look forward to very much.
Ryoma.
I like the pretty banner holding the sentiment! Wonderful card Lynn!
This card is a beauty, Lynn. I love all the details -the kraft base, the white heat embossing, the die cut edge of your main panel and those cute stamped hearts. So many beautiful ideas in one card and so well executed too!
Isn’t it crazy that something so simple can take so many times to get right? Happens to me all the time! Love the sentiment spend your card design. Beautiful!
Oh, I love this neutral color combo. Such a pretty card, Lynn!
