Grateful Me...Wonderful You (one little word and stamps for sale)

Well, after a really nice long break for Christmas and New Year's, I'm back at it today. The boys are back to school and it's time to get into our winter routine!  I had time in the craft room yesterday and played along with a few challenges.  This card is for the Inkspirational Challenge to make a thank you card with something new.  I have used all of my newer stamps, so I decided to play along use stamps from stamp sets that have yet to see ink. This card was inspired by this card.  Not sure why my picture of  my card is a bit blurry, but this card is already in an envelope, so no retakes today!

Have any of you done the One Little Word for 2016? I've decided on my word:  cherish.  I don't think I've done this in the past, but found myself thinking about it quite a bit.  In my head, I had two words:  slow down.  Often, I feel as though I am running from one thing to the next.  I really need to slow down and cherish what is happening at the moment versus worrying about what has to be done next.  It's a balance for me.  There is always so much to cherish and I'm going to try and be more intentional about cherishing the small and big moments.  If you've chosen a word for this year, I'd love to hear it!

PS Thank you for all of you who have purchased stamps.  If you are interested, please take a look at my For Sale page.  I've added a lot over the weekend.  A few of you indicated your email was getting returned...if you could leave your email in a comment, I will send you one. Thanks so much.

Beautiful colours! We've spent the weekend looking at videos of baby Struan (still have to convert the later ones) and realizing how quickly it's all going by - I think 'slow down' is perfect!

Gorgeous cards, such wonderful colours. Great to see you joining in Ink.
I didn't know about this 'word' for 2016. I will think on it. I think you have made the perfect chose for you and may have to remind you about it now and then xx

Clever to put the sentiment on top...have to try that! Beautiful card. Glad you are reflecting on Cherish. Thise boys grow too fast. I am still thinking of my word...

I love the repeated image in different colours…and that sentiment is fabulous! I've been thinking of my mantra/word and I think it's going to be "trust." I need to trust that things are happening for a reason and that it will all turn out. Although, I may change it this week as that one is not sitting well with me! LOL Here we go…back to work!

That is such a perfect word, Lynn! I don't usually choose one but the meaning behind "cherish" is one that we all should think about more often for sure! It's not always easy when you have so much going on but I agree - slow down and cherish the moments more! I hope you're able to do that.

Love your beautiful card! The colors and design are so pretty! Happy New Year! ♥

What a lovely word you've chosen, Lynn ... those special moments pass so quickly as we all rush along in life! Thanks for prompting me to think about OLW! Fabulous card ... yummy colours and brilliant sentiment! Hugs, Anita :)

I love the happy colors you've used on your images here. The black line and sentiment really make sure your eyes go there too. Great card, and I love it! A word.... Don't think I can do just one word. It'd have to be at least two, and the two that come to mind are "Trust God." That's what I really need to do; trust Him and not me! I love your word, and you'll find it's really worthy to remember all year. Great card. Great word. Bev

Beautiful stamping, Lynn! Love the multi colors and the placement of each stamp. I have seen others choosing one word and never thought of any word that I think I can apply...until your post's prompt. For me, it's "balance" (that is why I leave a few DT commitments...). I love your choice of word! Happy moments are fleeting... Yes, I'd say cherish it is!

Such a colorful, happy creation! I hate picking words for the new year. I feel like so many other perfectly fitting words would feel completely left out ;), but your choice is totally fitting. It's going to be a big year for you, love. Sending hugs!

Love the colors on your card, Lynn, and the perfect stamping. Cherishing moments is indeed important. Time seems to fly, more so the older you get.

Adding my voice to the others in cheering the beauty of your card. The image is wonderful, especially in the colours and layout you've used! *Cherish*...a powerful, deep word. I know you'll honour this choice as the year unfolds. As for me: still pondering (although 'stop complaining' does come to mind *grin*)
