Thanks

Happy Wednesday my friends. Popping in quickly before the current CAS(E) this Sketch ends.  I ended up making two cards for the challenge...both very similar but both pretty lose interpretations of the inspiration sketch. Going back to my go to floral set of all time PaperSmooches Reflections to build up my thank you card stash. Love when cards come together quickly like this.

Summertime has officially arrived at our house. We're still busy running the boys around to different places (play practice for Marcel, VBS volunteering for Jonathon, etc.) but it feels like summer had kicked in and the boys are anxious to get to the pool or hang out with their friends outside.  Hoping that over the next few weeks the activities continue to quiet done so that we can enjoy even more time together.

Collin loves to give me a call when I am at work.  The sweetest call came Monday night.  "Mom, bad news:  I have poison ivy, I'm trying not to itch...I put medicine on."  "When you come home, I'll have dinner ready for you.  I made Skyline."  He loves, loves, loves to cook and is so proud when he can make the whole family dinner.  His go to meals are:  eggs (scrambled, omelets or sunny side up) with bacon (of course), spaghetti, Skyline, grilled chicken and he's anxious to learn Pat's recipe for flank steak.  Love him to pieces!

Two lovely cards ... I must remember to use coloured card bases sometimes.

I love them both, Lynn. Look at those gorgeous flowers ... I have that set and must revisit it soon, it seems! As a chef? Please ask Collin to call me with that Skyline recipe!

You know I made a card for this sketch and then forgot to include that part in the post-- oh silly me, summer does a number on me and it's not even July. Beautiful card, another example on why I should use more colored card stock.
