It's turning out to be birthday week on the blog....I am in need of a lot of birthday cards this month. I'm absolutely loving the inspiration from the current Online Card Class. Karolyn of Paper Therapy (who I was lucky enough to spend a crafty weekend with this fall!) had a super fun technique called velveteen stamping. I've used this technique a long time ago, but forgot how much I love it. I stamped the base of my card with the Hero Arts Envelope Stamp background stamp and then finished off the card with Verve flowers and a Verve sentiment. Loving the end result. And I'm going to have to buy more Simon Says Stamps inks...love them!

Oh, Lynn, this is gorgeous - perfect for someone with a winter birthday, to give them hope that spring will eventually get here! lol!
Beautiful card, Lynn! Love the bright colors!
Ooooooooh this is absolutely gorgeous Lynn!! Those flowers are so pretty!!
I really like the pattern look on the flowers, am going to look up this technique now x
Oh, wow! Love the texture you achieved with the double stamping. Gorgeous card, Lynn!
This is so gorgeous, I wish I had done the class. Maybe in the spring when I have a bit more time. Love the colours of your flowers and such a perfect birthday card!
I love love your stamping on this one! I bet the card is even more beautiful in person...that's how I find with this type of technique! You've earned yourself an A +++!
So pretty and vibrant and spring like, Lynn ... what a fabulous effect! Anita :)
I had forgotten about this technique. I love the final result. Such great texture!
oh so pretty! ACK! I've missed another one! Wait till next year! ox
I didn't even notice the texture on the flower till you mentioned it, just thought it was part of the stamp. Love the pop of colour on the left.
I love this technique but don't have a good stamp to do it with. Your flowers are beautiful done that way.
Way to flash the Verve :) Lovely card as always!
Dude! This is AMAZE-BALLS!! Those brilliant dye inks just pop right off the page, and I so love how that "secret" background pops right out! You nailed this one, sistah!! Adding it to my faves!! XOXO
Love those flowers--and the way you have them over to the far left. I've been eyeing some SSS inks--glad to hear that you like them.
