Christmas is fast approaching. Hard to believe another school year is starting and in a little under four months another Christmas will be here. Kind of feels like madness how fast time seems to fly as we get older. I have another CAS card for this week's Festive Friday card. Pam Allen is guest designing with us. Please stop by her Flickr account to check out her gorgeous cards. I first thought chalkboard, but didn't have thicker fonts with Christmas sentiments that I wanted to use for a chalkboard technique. I ended up combining a Verve sentiment with WPlus9 stamps.
I made two versions of the same card...just slightly different. Have a favorite?! Not sure which one I prefer. Think I might like it in the bottom right hand corner with the leaves on the top and bottom opposite corners of the sentiment...but decided to let it go...

what am I missing...they look the same?? I think they are fabulous anyway, I love the way you have CASed the picture to perfection and the pops of red set the card off x
I was going to say I like the second one best, but then I looked back at the first and decided I liked the sentiment nesting in the leaves. :-) I love them both.
I don't have a favorite either, but I like that you made the red border pop with so much white.
I like the top one (sentiment closer to the leaves) better. The elements are more integrated as one. Thanks for the inspiration Lynn!!
I like both. Great take on the photo! Have a great weekend, Lynn!
I think its a fabulous design! I love the little cluster of greenery! I think I like the second one better with the sentiment just a bit above the greenery :)
Love the layered greens and the pops of red!
so clean, simple and fabulous!
Love the fir bows! Great take on the photo :)
Beautiful card Lynn! Love the foliage! Both are fabulous as always, but I am a sucker for sentiments that bleed into an image! ;)
Oh I love these ... the first one with the sentiment close to the greenery is my favorite, I think. I really like how you've use funky red stars here instead of the expected round berries. Gorgeous!
It looks like a lovely little mantle dressing, Lynn. I think I'm favoring number one but if I didn't see them together, I'd say they're both great.
How cool is this design!! I love the way u stamped the holly :)
I love both, but the first one makes sense as the sentiment is grounded! The font is perfect for the inspiration pic! ox
beautiful... I love how you layered the leaves and flowers. This is a fabulous design for some quick cards.
Love the swag of greenery Lynn, gorgeous CAS design :)
So lovely and CAS!!!
Beautiful cards, think I like the first one best. Such a clean and still traditional elemented layout; great! Enjoy your week, Gerrina
Well, Lynn, I just love them both, and I'm sure whoever receives them will love them, too.
