Hello Friends! Welcome to the first Festive Friday Challenge of the new year! When Meredith asked me if I wanted to be part of the design team, I was an immediate yes. Festive Friday definitely helped me get a jump start on my Christmas cards last year. I'm looking forward to playing along this year and hope that I can provide inspiration to you to work on your cards early this year. No doubt, the rest of the design team will continue to knock your socks off with their creativity.
When I looked at the inspiration photo above, I was immediately drawn to the contrast of the bold red against the white. I made a super CAS card below.
And I was also inspired to make a more rustic version of the card too. Unfortunately the card is a bit out of focus.
Have a favorite of the two cards? I'd love to see you come play along with us! Be sure to pop on over to the Festive Friday Challenge Blog!

I have to go with the first one..the more CAS one, it is the white ribbon on the white card I love x
Love these Lynn, especially the second! What snowflake dies did you use? They are fantastic!
These are fabulous, Lynn! I love the second with the bit of weathered wood. I am taking a stand this year to get my cards done early, so I am really looking forward to playing along with the Festive Friday challenges - can't wait to see your inspiration each week!
These are so sweet :) love the bright red :)
Stunning CAS cards! Love the red and white contrast! Congrats on the DT position!!!

I love them both, Lynn, but there's something about that second one for me...I think it's the bold striking design of it...LOVE it! And looking forward to creating Christmas with you and the other gals ALL YEAR LONG;)!!!
These are fabulous, Lynn! Love the simpleness of the first one and the wood paneling on the second is great! Wishing you a wonderful w/e :)
Both of these are fabulous, Lynn! Thanks for the heads-up about this challenge! I was definitely one of those people scrambling to get the holiday cards made and in the mail this year! So, I'm lovin' the idea of a challenge like this one to help me work ahead!!!
These are both fabulous, Lynn! So great to have you on the FF DT!
Since rustic is my middle name, I'd have to say I like the second one better but they are both terrific.
Woo Hoo and congratulations Lynn! So excited for you and Ii can't wait to play along with you this year!
Woohoo! Congratulations, Lynn! And great takes on the inspiration pic! Really love that woodgrain panel!
woohoo! Congrats on the DT! It was a super fun challenge last year and I'm on the wagon again this year! I've got an idea for my card later today! (please don't notice the time of this comment! LOL ;) LOVE the pop of red too :) ox
Congrats! What an awesome challenge and I love both of these cards. It I had to pick a fav, I'd go for the second. I just love that strip of wood!
These are both really wonderful cards--great colors and designs. Since you asked--I'd say I like the second just a teeny bit more--I love the rustic wood and the way you have used a more neutral ink for your sentiment and have it curving perfectly around your red circle.
I am looking forward to seeing your take on Festive Friday Challenge! Love the white and red contrast of your cards! Both are so pretty with lovely details!
Clean, Fresh, Beautiful!
Wishing you a great week my friend!
Two FABULOUS cards Lynn - LOVE the inspiration photo too :)
Tough call… they're both fabulous for different reasons! Love the enamel dots on the snowflakes on the first one and the strip of woodgrain on the second.
What a Great way to get a jump start on Christmas! Pretty cards, both!

We need snow sooooo badly... love the woodgrain in the second card.
