Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends.  We'll be celebrating Thanksgiving today will both sides of our family so we are going to have a very full house!  We have a lot to be prayerful about and to be thankful for...one of the biggest blessings is having family that enjoys being together.  I hope that you are spending your day surrounded by family.

While I'm here, I thought I'd share a few of the little things that make me smile:
  • Collin has decided he needs hair gel.  I wish you could see the sweet smiles he gives when I tell him I like his hair. I succumbed to getting his own hair gel after he asked about 20 times.  I figured it also prevented a fight when Ryan realized he was borrowing his!
  • Watching Jonathon perform at his first show choir concert. This isn't the formal competition show yet (that comes in January), but his smiles said it all. He looked very good and was definitely happy.
  • Marcel's list for Santa.  He told me over the weekend that he wanted a hamster, but he was worried if he got a hamster that "Daddy might exterminate it."  This completely cracked me up.  First that he knows what exterminate means and second that he knows our family aren't animal lovers!  Needless to say I'm trying to get out of this one...I told him Santa can't make live pets.  Here's hoping none of his friends get a new puppy from Santa!
  • When my nieces ask me for help on their interviews and resumes. I'm happy that I can help them!
  • And tonight as I type this post, Ryan is over at my brother and sister-in-law's house to spend time with my nieces.  Just got the text that he is spending the night there.  Love how much they enjoy each other!
And last but not least my card is inspired by the current Just Us Girls Inspiration Photo Challenge.  I love the gorgeous color palette!  It has nothing to do with Thanksgiving, but I wanted to share before the challenge expired. Happy Thanksgiving!

Beautiful words, Lynn! You had me smiling from the very first mention of hair gel, all the way to the cousin sleepover. Oh, and it was the beautiful card that brought me over in the first place! Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy your day of family togetherness. :-)

Such a sweet card..love those blooms!
I love it when you share stuff Lynn!

Hair gel, so much fun:)

Do you or your hubby sing? I missed out on that gene, my Mom was a singer...something I wish I could do. I love hearing my kids sing, it is instant happiness for me.

cousins...that's super that they get along so well. I have 2 older brothers and they haven't/won't have any kids so my kids don't have cousin's on my side of the family :(

Love how you used the colours from the insp. pic for your card. They are a breath of spring in the midst of Christmas cards :)

It's great fun watching our kids grow up -- many wonderful things to treasure in our mommy hearts :) Should you need this info...hamsters only live a couple of years so they are a quick in and out pet wink, wink :)

Wishing you a blessed Thanksgiving as you celebrate with family ((hugs))
