PaperTrey Ink Blog Hop

Good morning everyone!  Happy Wednesday.  I almost completely missed this month's PaperTrey Ink Blog Hop.  I saw the reminder come up yesterday in Google Reader and decided to make a quick card last night.  My birthday stash is running low so you'll be seeing a few more birthday cards here and there.

This month's blog hop encourages us to be inspired by a card we made in 2011.  I used the layout from this card that I made in early November.  Rather than having the sentiment go straight across I like to try and make it go vertical.  Love the small font.  And of course, I went with one of my all time favorite PTI sets, Damask Designs. It is stamped in the yummy Hero Arts Chalk Ink.

Hope you all got a chance to play along with the blog hop too!

What a beautiful "re-take" Lynn! Love the damask print and the pop of green with the pretty bow! I love the look of the vertical sentiment and never think to do it.

Ooh, a vertical sentiment, that is something new to try for me. Both cards are wonderful, and really showcase your versatility in color and feel of cards.

I remember when you posted the older card that I loved the bright colors. The new one is great too! Your spacing is just perfect.
Thanks for the reminder on the hop - for some reason I thought the 25th was tomorrow. I'm hoping to join in.

Lynn, I don't usually make my sentiments go vertical, but after seeing your cards, I want to give it a shot, these are both stunners!

I love how soft and sophisticated your revamp turned out. I never think to stamp my sentiments vertically, but I love the way it looks here. I may have to try that soon myself. Thank you for sharing!

Very elegant cards. The sand ink looks yummy but I love the oranges and red inks. Gr8 spacing in your stamping.

I love your original card but those damasks are so perfect they look like patterned paper. The mint ribbon finishes it perfectly. Wow!
