Two Challenges in One!

Earlier this week, I got a package of new goodies from PaperTrey Ink.  I love playing with new stamp sets and papers!  Although, I am now on hold to not by anything else until after Christmas.... we'll see how I do!

On to my cards...I did two challenges at once with this card.  Dawn's Raspberry Sweet Challenge and Keesh's Inkspirations Challenge

Some of the details:  I turned the sketch sideways for the card and used one of my Martha Stewart punches for the scallop.  I then added the ribbon...and actually used my sewing machine to sew it on and pleat the ribbon at the bottom.  When Pat came into the room as I was making the card and I showed him I had sewed the ribbon on, he said, "When is the last time you used that thing?"  Been a while (years)! Now that it is out again, it will be getting a lot more use.  I then used some Fancy Pants Designer series paper and various buttons with my fun new Signature Greetings stamps to finish off the card.

I also made this card...not following the Raspberry Color Suite Challenge but another fun challenge using Keesh's Inkspiration Sketch.

Hope you enjoy my creations!

Ingredients: PTI Turning a New Leaf DSP, Kraft Paper, Twine and Signature Greetings Stamps; SU Chocolate Chip Paper, Flower Brad and Ribbon, Martha Stewart Punches, Fancy Pants DSP, Making Memories Buttons

Both of your cards are just gorgeous! Love the pleated ribbon - I have yet to try it. Would you believe that I'm intimidated by it? Yes, intimidated by ribbon :) Well, I definitely couldn't get them as lovely as yours are - great job!

Both great cards. I've asked for a sewing machine for my birthday--can't wait to sew ribbon onto my cards and scrapbook layouts like that!
