Just for You

Happy Saturday my friends. I'm enjoying a very lazy Saturday.  The perfect day in my book after lots of graduation celebrations for Ryan and his friends. Pat is out of town at the US Open with his brothers and dad celebrating his brother's 50th birthday.  They have gorgeous weather for going.  It's the mid 80s and simply glorious.

So I had some time to look around at the challenges and play along.  This card is for Virginia's View Challenge. Loved getting my Zig markers out for this card.  You have to check out Virginia's incredible sample cards. Her stamping and use of color is impeccable!

You Make My Heart Melt {and I met Tracey!)

This weekend, I was on a Christmas card making role.  I loved the sweet little snowman from Marilyn's card at Muse:  Christmas Visions. For my card, I used a very CAS PaperSmooches snowman and then colored just a touch with my Zig markers.  Very simple, but one more done for the Christmas card stash!  I'm also entering this over at Virginia's View All Things Colored Challenge.

Yesterday, I was so thrilled that Tracey and I got to meet in real life!  She is as much of a sweetheart in person as she is in blog land and we hit it off like we had been friends forever.  Thankfully, it was a gorgeous day out and we sat outside and chatted over lunch in my little town of Loveland.  I wish we had longer, but am so thankful for the time we had together.  Next time, we are most definitely going to need more time together...and to get our hubbies together too. When James dropped Tracey off, I think the guys could have talked for hours too.  I feel so blessed to meet such wonderful friends through blogging.

Many Thanks

Good morning my friends.  Back at it today after a wonderful three day weekend.  We had a fabulous time celebrating the 4th with family and friends.  I'll be back with some pictures over the next few days.

I had a bit of time on Saturday to sneak in some crafting..and was itching to play along with Virginia's View Challenge:  100% stamped. Stamping is one of my all time favorites...love a pure stamped card.  I was inspired by this card and decided to play along using the color combination from the card.

Hope you all have a fabulous start to your week!

Happy Anniversary

Popping in with a fun card for Virginia's View Challenge...I love embossing and distress inks and simply don't use them enough so this was the perfect challenge for me to get them both out! This card is going to a co-worker of mine who is celebrating her anniversary.  She loves vibrant colors so I'm looking forward to giving this to her!

Hope your week gets off to a great start my friends!  We are back from a fantastic weekend with Ryan's show choir in NYC.  Not sure when I'll get to it just yet, but I'll be sure to post pictures soon!

Celebrate Today

A few weeks ago, I bought my first Winnie & Walter stamps so when I saw the challenges over on Kelly's blog, I thought it would be fun to play along with a few of them over the next couple of weeks.  My first entry is for Gayatri's Birthday Collage challenge.  I love the dual stamping on these rose stamps and if you've been around here often you know I love pairing coral and gray together.  The typewriter sentiments are fabulous. I finished off the sentiment with a birthday sentiment to celebrate today!

I'm also entering this over in Virginia's View Clean Slate Challenge.  Oh how I love a card with lots of clean white space!

I hope your weekend gets off to a great start. Happy creating my friends.

You're Holding All the Cards {and Birthday Party Pictures}

Happy Tuesday my friends. This is a card I made a while back but hadn't had a chance to post. It's using CAS-ual Fridays stamps and dies. I created a stencil using the dies and then used embossing paste to stencil the card suit shapes. Love the end result, but the picture of the card doesn't do it justice.  It is so hard to photograph black cards!

I've entering this in Virginia's View Clean and Simple Card challenge.  I could enter this every day!  I love CAS cards!

Before I go, I thought I'd share the layouts from Marcel's birthday party. Still loving the Project Life App!  These would have taken months to get into a scrapbook...instead of days!

Memories Bring Comfort

I simply can't see to keep sympathy or thinking of you cards in my stash these days.  So, when I saw the current Virginia's View challenge I had an idea.  I only have a couple of stencils so I pulled out my PTI cover plate.  I always think trees are pretty for sympathy cards as they represent life to me versus a bouqet of flowers that will eventually die.  I used the die to ink up the tree with a few different distress inks. The colors are a bit softer in real life but I'm pleased with the end result.  How about you?  Do you own a lot of stencils?  What types of patterns are your favorite?

With Sympathy {and SU sets for sale}

Happy mid way day.  We're half way through the week and I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend.  We don't have too much going on other than being in our second week of baseball and first week of soccer practices.  I'm hoping the warmer weather hurries up and arrives!  On Monday's Clean & Simple class, Jennifer Rsaza had a video on water coloring.  I'm late to the trend, but thought I would keep it simple and emboss an image and then water color it with distress inks.  Of course, I had to play along with Virginia's amazing Virginia's View challenge too.  I had fun with the gold embossing powder with this one and used three different colors of distress ink to create my card.

I hope your doing great on this mid way day!  I also wanted to let you know I updated my stamps for sale page.  My dear friend Katie is moving and she's selling several Stampin' Up sets if you'd like to take a peak and pop her an email.
