Time Out: Thank You So Much

Happy Friday Eve my friends. We have a fun post for you over at Time Out!  Find something in your wardrobe past or present to inspire you!  Well...I LOVE stripes. Almost all of my casual shirts are striped.  So I thought why not stripes!  Had fun using a stencil and masking off the stripes. How are you inspired to play along?

Be sure to stop over and check out the fabulous sponsor Poppy Stamps and our guest design over at Time Out, Lise. So happy to have her designing with us.

Thanks

Happy Sunday friends...it has been a snowy weekend here (which I think a lot of you are experiencing)...which meant show choir was cancelled yesterday and we all hung out at home.  And today was a crafty day.  I'm working hard to think ahead about cards I'll need so I made a couple of these thank you notes. These will go to the two college students who help out with our show choir band later this spring!

I hope you are all getting time to create this weekend too.  And thanks as always to CAS(E) this Sketch for the fabulous sketch!

Thank You for All You Do

Happy Memorial Day to my US friends.  I hope you are all having time to give thanks for those who have given their lives for us.

I'm popping in to share a very quick CAS card that I made following the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. I needed a few quick thank yous for Marcel and Collin's teachers before the end of school this year.  I made two of these for Marcel's two male teachers.

Love that I am getting a bit more time to create these days. I hope you are as well!

Curtain Call: Thanks

This week we are inviting you to join us for...

Don't you love the inspiration photo?  So many fun colors and patterns to inspire you to play along.  I knew I wanted to use a couple of my Distress Oxide Inks and a stencil to play along with this challenge and I needed a masculine thank you for a male co-worker so it was the perfect opportunity to play along.

I hope that you're inspired to play along too!  The LEAD of this challenge will be invited to be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge!  Pop on over to Curtain Call to check out all the fabulous inspiration from the team!

Thanks!

Tracey had the most gorgeous CAS card over at Muse this week and I had to play along.  I decided to use some new PTI stamps that Jen had sent to me (thank you again Jen!) for the feathers. I love my Fresh Inks...they are gorgeous and were so fun to do this rainbow of feathers.  I'm off for a couple night get away with some girlfriends at Norris Lake so keeping this post short and sweet. I hope you all have fun weekend plans scheduled too!

PS  Sorry the photo is a little blurry...over cast here and I am running out the door!

PaperTrey Ink: 2013

Hi there, I've been watching all of the gorgeous cards being posted as inspired by the PTI 10 year anniversary and decided to give it a go and make a couple of cards to enter.  I was also inspired by my friend Moe to make two of each card I made to fill up my stash!  Looking through all the years...I don't have any of the sets, but I loved this sweet little collage card below by Heather Nichols from 2013...so I played along using three different PTI sets for this card:  Wedding Day, Framed Out #12 and Tiny Tags.  Love how all the sweet elements come together. No surprise I'm using varying shades of orange on my flowers :)

Hope you are all having a fabulous weekend. The weather here is absolutely gorgeous so we've been enjoying no coats, going for a nice walk and the boys have been fishing in the neighborhood pond. Perfection!

Fusion: Thanks

Whenever I see a nautical inspiration, I think of my mother-in-law.  She loves blue...and all thinks nautical.  So this thank you card will likely make it to her sooner rather than later.  I love the inspiration we provide to you over at Fusion.

Fusion: Thanks

Oh la la.  I am in love with the Fusion inspiration photo!  Navy and pink together are awesome.  I also love the patterns...think it is pretty easy to see how I was inspired.  Lots of fun dies were used to create this card.

What do you think?  Do you love the inspiration as much as I do?  Would love to have you play along with us.

If you are interested, here's a link to the Frantic Stamper die I used on the background of this card.

Thanks

All of you know how much I love floral stamp sets. I realized I hadn't used this PTI stamp set in a while, so it was the perfect time to pull it out and create a thank you card for this week's Just Us Girls Challenge to make a thank you card.   Of course, in my go to colors of coral, orange and yellows.  Finished off the card with a Clearly Besotted sentiment.

We're back to the boys activities starting up this week. Ryan and Collin are in full swing for show choir with the first competition happening next weekend, Marcel is starting a new play:  Will Rogers Follies as Will Rogers Jr. and Jonathon is active in a computer programming club.  Love seeing all of them shine. I'll be sure to post pictures soon!  Speaking of pictures, I worked on catching up our scrapbook over new years.  I love Project Life.  Makes scrapbook page creations go so much faster.  I'd much rather be making cards :) but love having the books all caught up.

Thanks a Lot

Happy Friday, I received a thank you note recently from a wedding and I loved the colors on the thank you card.  I kept the card downstairs in my craft room until I could mimic the color scheme.  Love the lime green with the navy, turquoise and teal.  Of course I went to my go to PaperSmooches floral sets for the card.

I'm so sad that the PS Sparks Challenge is going away, but will definitely be playing along with the challenge on the main blog!

Thanks (and a sale question)

Happy Monday...I am in thank you card mode.  I had zero thank you cards in my stash...and I was in need of a lot of them...so this week is all about the thank you cards!  My first up is a quick one using some patterned paper in my stash. Inspired by Michele's super fun MUSE inspiration card.  Love those fun little type writers!

Feeling like it is time to purge my stamps and do a stamp sale....we'll see if I get my motivation up to do that! I'm curious - where do you have the best luck selling your stamps or do you keep them all?!  I get overwhelmed when I have too many.

Fusion: Thanks So Much

It's time for another challenge at Fusion! Are you enjoying all the challenges around blog land with the gorgeous fall colors?  I love fall colors and had fun playing along this week. Too make my background, I inked up a Hero Arts background stamp with ink and then stamped the leave stamp over it to create a bit of a varied background.   To finish it off, I stamped the leaves and the sentiment.

I'd love to see how you're inspired...by the sketch and/or the inspiration photo.

Time Out: Thanks

I'm back today with a reminder card for the current challenge over at Time Out.  I love the current challenge of being inspired by fall:  Autumn - the years last, loveliest smile.  I just picked up these stitched Lawn Fawn leaves.  Absolutely love them and was so anxious to use them!  I can always use extra thank you notes in my stash of cards.

Fusion: Thanks So Very Much

It's time for another challenge at Fusion!  I played along with this challenge with a double fusion...inspired by the beautiful colors in the inspiration photo and loosely followed the sketch.  I had fun making the water color wash on the panel down the front and finished the card off with the sentiment and butterfly. I'm in love with the fabulous fonts on the sentiment from Reverse Confetti.  Be sure to pop on over to the Fusion blog to check out my teammates beautiful cards.

Fusion: Back to School

We're so happy to be back at Fusion after a fabulous summer break. Be prepared to be inspired by the fabulous photo inspiration/sketch and the cards from the design team. This challenge was the perfect one for me to pull out my Frantic Stamper dies.
As my kids head back to school I thought it would be the perfect time to get some teacher thank you cards made for my stash. I pulled out two sets of dies and markets to get to work on making a couple of clean and simple thank you cards. For the first card, I die cut the pencil dies three times coloring the pencils in different colors. I tied them together with a touch of twine to give them a bit more symmetry on the card. Finished off the card with a simple thanks sentiment.

For my second card, I had fun coloring the apple with water color pens. To add a touch of color I put a small strip of rainbow striped paper to finish it off. I love how the water color on the apple provides a sense of texture to the design.

These cards will likely get put to quick use!

Thanks!

At the beginning of the week, I said I was working on updating my stash of thank you cards....this resulted in the perfect time to play along with the Just Us Girls Challenge. I had this touch of polka dot vellum in my extra paper stash at the end of my desk that had not been put into the scrap files just yet.  Love how it softens the pink just a bit!

Thanks

On la la...don't you love when you're going through your extras from previous projects and it jump starts a card for you?  I was cleaning up my desk this weekend and looking through my extra die cuts. These leaves popped out at me to play along with this week's CAS(E) this Sketch.  Added a touch of twine and a few pearls to finish off the card along with the stamped squares and sentiment (ignore that the sentiment is crooked...grrr!)  Not quite ready for fall to be here...but I do love fall colors.

Speaking of fall, the boys head back to school one week from tomorrow. Sunday was spent shopping on line for school supplies...so much easier than hitting Target and Office Depot (thank goodness for free shipping) and was followed up by scheduling out the week of freshmen orientation, class pick up for the younger two, show choir starting for Ryan, etc.  Busy!  Very thankful that our school district now does all forms on-line. When you have four kids, filling out all the forms can be quite a chore!

Hard to believe another summer is almost over?  When do your kiddos head back?

Time Out: Thanks Friend

Oh la la...we are being inspired by words for our current challenge over at Time Out and it's a fun one!  Friends are Golden

I went quite literal (no surprise there) with a friend sentiment and gold in both the striped paper.  Love the combination of black, gold and white.  Striking and elegant at the same time.

Be sure to pop on over to the Time Out blog to be inspired by the amazing TO team...and of course to play along!

A Note of Thanks

A quick note of thanks for a new manager at work who is doing a phenomenal job. Love seeing how he is leading his team and quickly picking up the ins and outs of his job.  So...I played along with the current CAS(e) this Sketch to create a fun little inky card just for him. Happy middle of the week!

Time Out: Thankful & Blessed

Happy Friday Eve my friends. It's time for another challenge over at Time Out. We have a theme challenge for you this week and next. The theme is:

Nature with the optional twist of animals (you can use butterflies and other insects)

We are being sponsored by CAS-ual Fridays. Of course, I had to play along with my CAS-ual Fridays stamps and went for a pure nature theme...without the optional twist of animals.  The prize is $25 gift certificate to a random drawn winner.

Be sure to pop on over to the Time Out blog and to our guest designer, Barb's blog, to be inspired by the amazing TO team...and of course to play along!
