Hi friends...we've had a very exciting week at our house. And I'm going to name the moment that I'm going to brag on the boys for just a minute! Jonathon ran his first half marathon this morning. It was a nice crisp morning and he finished with an incredible time of 1:38:54 - a 7 minute 33 second pace. Seriously - can't even imagine running that fast. He was so pleased. Awesome to see his smile at mile 5, mile 10 and then at the finish!
Ryan is home from his freshman year and has come home with all As for his second semester after a strong first semester too. So proud of him and that he is loving college.
And Collin and Marcel have both received parts in the summer production of Willie Wonka Jr. And Collin is Willie Wonka. He is beaming with pride. He tends to be my shy one so this is a really big deal. And Marcel will be grandpa George. Really look forward to seeing them on stage in July.
So...enough bragging on the boys :), think you are probably here for a card. We have the annual show choir banquet tomorrow night and I received a request for nine thank you notes for the directors and a few parents that put a ton of time with the kids. So off I set this afternoon to quickly make nine cards! The first one above is using The Stamp Market stamps. Love this fun stamp and I had fun stamping it with a variety of Impress inks...those are my favorite inks for sure!
The second one is using a Winnie & Walter set. I was so lucky to meet Shay the owner of W&W at my April crafting weekend. She makes sets with the most fabulous sentiments and simply the sweetest person. Love her and her stamps! Our school colors are orange and black and our town is Loveland...so hearts are always perfect! I'll be back in a couple days to share the other two I made. Hope you all have had a fabulous weekend too!

It's wonderful to see your children shine, isn't it?! Congrats to them.
Love that ombre sentiment in your first card.
Congrats to all your boys! I can't even fathom running for a half marathon at a pace of 7-8 minutes. I would probably keel over. We are huge Willy Wonka fans over here - how fun for both your boys to be in it!
Wow that was one busy weekend and what amazing kids! Love the CAS wonders x
Kudos to all your boys, Lynn. If I thought I was going to be in Ohio in July I'd love to come see the younger ones. Kudos to you too for making the Thank You cards and not doing all nine the same. These two are fantastic. I love that you incorporated the school colors.
Well done to those dishy young men of yours, Lynn ... no wonder you're such a proud Mom! Yummy CAS cards ... love that the sentiments are the stars of the show! Hugs, Anita :)
Sounds like a pride mom enjoying all that her boys do! And like a mom who still thinks of them when she is making cards :)!

Congratulations to all of your boys on their recent accomplishments!!! And kudos to you and your husband for being awesome parents and incredible role models!!! I see you've been a busy bee putting those new crafty goodies to good use!!! LOVE both of these gorgeous CAS creations!!!
Brag on, momma! I love reading about your boys and their accomplishments! Behind those accomplishments is a lot of hard work and dedication from both boy and parents, and you have every reason to rejoice in them. Your cards are awesome, too. You are making me really, reeeally want some Impress Inks. (PS so awesome that you met Shay!)
