So...it has been almost a month since I have created. Several cards have posted, but the last time I made a card was on July 25th...and I was craving creating big time! We've had a busy but great last month. We went on vacation to Niagara Falls...then to Seneca Lake...and then to Pat's cousin's wedding. It was a super relaxing trip. We were back for 10 days and then we just took Ryan to college on Thursday. I'm so happy for him. He starts classes tomorrow, but this mama's heart is definitely missing him! Here he is with his roommate, Christian. They are about half way getting through their room set up here. We Facetimed this morning and he is definitely enjoying meeting lots of people and finding his way around campus.
So we have lots to catch up on but that can wait for another day. First up, I'll share a card I made for my cousin's daughter. She just finished up a college level photography class and has done super well so I wanted to pop her a card to celebrate! I loosely played along with the CAS(E) this Sketch for this card. I'll be back tomorrow with a card that is a very literal interpretation of the sketch. I've pushed the strings to the side on this one so that you can have a better view of the sentiment.
I hope your week gets off to a great start!

I know summers are supposed to be more laid back as the kids get older--ha! Your summer adventures sound fabulous and yay for Ryan settling in at college. It's hard I know but so amazing to see them spread their wings. Your card is adorable with those sweet balloons. Welcome back to creating, I still have a couple weeks before I can return to doing it when I want to. xo
Wow! Sounds like you've had a great summer. Love your beautiful card!
Ryan looks very happy. This card is perfect, she will love it x
Sounds as though it's been a fabulous few weeks, Lynn, even without any creating! What a great photo of Ryan settling in ... such an exciting time for him ... you must be so proud! Fabulous card ... so celebratory ... and such a brilliant sentiment! Hugs, Anita :)
Welcome back Lynn! Your card is adorable! Wishing Ryan the best of luck. Hang in there mama, it will get easier ;)
That stripe makes that you keep on staring at this card; great design! Hugs, Gerrina
Sounds like you had a busy month, but I totally get how you would be missing creating!
Your card is so fun! Great take on the sketch!
Super cute take on the sketch, Lynn! Really love that glitter strip! Yay for FUN busyness!
Wish I had known you were in Niagara Falls! I live about 30 minutes from there! And Seneca Lake is beautiful! Glad you got to visit NYS! Love your card too!
I am having flashbacks to my moving in days at uni LOL. He looks very happy to be there. Yeah for social medial, face time etc. so you can chat with him regularly (versus only the letter or phone options I had LOL!)
What an exciting time for you! Good luck to Ryan! Your card is cute and fun.
LOVE the balloons with the twine and college....WOW!
