Today we're celebrating my gorgeous cousin, Sandie! It is her 50th birthday...and she definitely fits the phrase of 50 and fabulous! Our teammates over at Time Out are celebrating her so be sure to pop over and check out all the birthday celebrations. We are having a special challenge to celebrate some of Sandie's favorites: CAS with the optional twist of purple. Sandie's all time favorite color is purple. For her birthday card, I inked with different shades of purple after I embossed the background. The photo is a bit blurry but I think she'll like it with the touch of a couple of sequins.
I so wish that Sandie and I didn't live across the ocean from one another as we would have so much fun crafting, shopping and a sharing a drink or too. We're definitely blessed to be cousins and have had this wonderful crafting hobby to share together. I love her dearly and am thankful to be cousins but even more to be dear, dear friends. Here's to 50 and a fabulous day Sandie! Love you tons!
And PS if you play along with us over at Time Out, we have a $25 Simon Says Stamp Gift Certificate for the winner.

Great sponging, Lynn! I love the added black stripes, they give such nice contrast to the design. Thanks so much for sponsoring the challenge with the coupon, you are best! xxx

What a perfect birthday card for Sandie. I wish I had a cousin to craft with. You are both so lucky.
So good to see that you used the purple over the whole card! And I think you both are blessed to are so close (even with an ocean between you)! This card is a beauty; love the graphic design and the superb balanced placing of the sequins! Hugs, Gerrina
