With Deepest Sympathy {and Marcel's play}

I've decided I need to spend an afternoon making sympathy cards.  Unfortunately, as soon as I make them I have to send them out.  Two went out to a dear friend and her father whose mom/wife passed away last week. I made this card yesterday for my nana.  Her sister who had been ill for several years with Alzheimer's passed away last week too.  My card was inspired by the beautiful colors in the tulips in the new Inspired by All the Little Things challenge.  I loved the orange and pink combination with the gray gingham. I didn't have any gray gingham so I went with soft gray striped paper from Lil Inkers.

I thought I'd also share the layouts from Marcel's play. This was a play with adults from our community at the local stage company.  He had a wonderful time performing.  He has asked for voice lessons instead of baseball.  My favorite part of the play was hearing him do the sound check in advance where we belted out Runaway Baby by Bruno Mars. He sounded great...and is confident.

Oh Lynn I don't know where to start! I know what you mean about sympathy cards hardest to make and needed far too often. Yours is beautiful with those sweet flowers and the grey patterned paper. Now Marcel! He is a natural and he is so cute. Your layouts are fabulous, all of your photos are really good. Congratulate Marcel please. Such a talented group of young men you have.

I love that Marcel asked for voice lessons instead of sports. Your boys have such talent! And the card is lovely even though I wish we never needed them.

Sorry to hear about the losses. Your cards will bring comfort. Marcel sounds like a great guy! I spent my childhood performing on stage in musicals! So joyful and a great way to make strong connections. How wonderful for you to see! I love that your boys perform! It's wonderful! xo

I have the hardest time with sympathy cards, yours is outstanding, Lynn! The colors are soft and lovely, and I love the stripes across the bottom combined with the flowers! Great photos of your son's play! My son has an amazing voice and I encouraged him to perform from a young age. He went along with it when he was young, but decided at about age 12 he wanted nothing more to do with it. He's still a natural "ham" (voted "most theatrical" in his senior year of HS even though he wasn't "performing" anywhere except for his classmates), but he wants nothing to do with any "stage" lol!

What a soft and serene card...perfect for the occasion albeit sad. And what a handsome young man. It must have been amazing and so proud watching him.

Lovely and soothing sympathy card. I am so sorry you needed it so soon. I also like to make sympathy cards in bulk and in advance. Wonderful pics of Marcel's play, and it looks like you have already completed your albums, so hat's off to you.

My daughter would have loved to have Marcel in her plays when she was a drama coach. He looks like he really enjoys performing. I'm sorry you need so many sympathy cards, Lynn, but you make such beautiful ones.

I'm sorry you've had a need for so many sympathy cards lately. Hopefully you'll create a whole stash and then they'll just sit there.
Marcel is such a cutie pie and how cool that he wants to take voice lessons! You have such a talented gang of boys, Lynn. Is Collin still playing the drums?
