You're an Amazing Mum

Happy Monday my friends.  I had a super relaxing Mother's Day that started off with mass and a nice lunch with our family.  Man oh man are by boys growing. I look tall in this picture, but they are all sprouting!  It was so nice to not spend the day running around.  A perfect mother's day in my book.  Marcel's card was hilarious, "You sparked my life and that is why I love you."  I'll miss the days when I get hand made cards from them. Thankfully Pat has taught them all to make cards and I love receiving them.

Here are the cards I made for my mum and mother-in-law.  Two one layer cards perfect for the One-Layer Simplicity challenge.  The first one was for my mum and the second for Pat's mum (she loves blues!).  I hope you had a fabulous mother's day too. I'd love to hear your favorite memory!

Gorgeous photos, Lynn... I'm happy to see your little Scottish Mom - she's darling! Your cards were loved, I imagine... I love them, too. You asked for a memory - here's one: When still wee enough to be in the grocery cart, a lady came up to speak to my Mom. She then looked at me and said "oh my, where did you get those beautiful green eyes?" To my mother's horror I repeated a phrase I'd heard somewhere: "I think I got them from the Milkman!" I may, or may not, have received my weekly Golden Book that day =\
Glad you had such a wonderful day, my friend!

Two sweet mommy cards, Lynn! I just know how much your moms loved them! One year, my oldest son wrote me a poem for Mothers Day. It's in his memory box now, so I can't quote it, but it, in his words, was "pretty dumb, but you always said it was the thought that counts." Only it came out as 'thout', which has since become a 'family' word. Ah...memories. Thanks for sharing your photos too; it's always nice to see your family. Have a good week. Bev

Sounds perfect! My kiddos always make me cards, too, but mostly just because some kind of step-by-step comes with our curriculum ;). They're still really special, and they always put their own personal flair into them. Such beautiful pics! So glad you had the perfect day! And your cards are pure CAS perfection! Happy belated Mother's Day to you!

I'm so glad you have a wonderful Mother's Day with your family. Your cards are lovely and I'm especially enthralled with those doodle like flowers on card one. My brother, SIL and niece were here from Florida, so we spent Mother's Day with Mom at the nursing home. I took dessert and we all had presents. My Dad doesn't like when Mom get all the attention so he kept trying to take the cards from her before she was through reading them. She told him to stop and he said "I just want you to know that I'd like to see them." Maybe you had to be there but we all thought it was funny.

Lynn what a lovely photo of you and your mom and of course of your handsome family! Precious memories to have photos of, I need an updated photo of me and my mom. Both of your cards are beautiful! My favourite memories this year is my kiddoes taking me out to dinner, not because they spent the money, but because of the warmth in which they did it.

Love the picture of you with your mom. You are very lucky to be able to spend mother's day with her. Your cards for them both are lovely. I am jealous that your boys make you cards. That sounds so sweet. I think I will go back to making my own cards and then just telling my family when to give them to me! Happy Mother's Day.
