Thanks For Everything

Hello there...I've been pretty quiet around here. We've had a lot of busy weekends and continue to have a lot more coming up so I apologize now for the lack of commenting and the potential lack of posts.  We're going on our first college visit this weekend. Kind of strange to think in 18 months we'll be packing Ryan up for college. So, we're enjoying all of the high school activities he is up to right now (show choir and the play).

I had a bit of time to create tonight so I made a card for the current One Layer Simplicity Challenge where the challenge is to use blending on your card. This card is absolutely inspired by Ardyth as she is the master of blending on your card.  This would make a great guy thank you card.  Definitely need a few of those in the stash!

Hope you are all staying warm too...it's only 8:30 and the boys have already been called school for tomorrow.  Here's hoping the roads are clear for the morning commute!

Love it - I love the way your colours blend not just light to dark like I usually do- I need to start thinking out side of my box. And check out my CASology card tomorrow..... Thanks for playing with us at OLS!

Great card! As soon as I saw this last night I hopped up to my craft table and made one very similar. Thanks for the inspiration! And good luck on the college visits.

Time goes fast, eh? My boy just received his first college acceptance, in NY. this momma is certainly happy but I'm going to miss him so much.

Time goes so darn quickly, doesn't it? I'm pretty sure it was only yesterday when we took our youngest to UW. Now he's an MD with a family of his own! Enjoy each minute. And I'm really enjoying this card! Love that you've channeled your inner Ardyth! Still has *you* all over it, though! Nice!! Bev

Absolutely love the design and inking on this card. And, yes, it is reminiscent of Ardyth. Perhaps I will give it a shot too. I hope that your college visit went well--if we are not going to meet in Maine at Bowdoin, may I suggest checking out colleges in San Diego....lots of good schools here and you can't beat the sunshine.

Gorgeous use of color for the backdrop of the intense black sentiment! So dramatic and effective! Thanks so much for sharing with us at the One-Layer Simplicity Challenge!
