This past Saturday my sister-in-law texted me asking if I had any birthday cards in my stash. Sadly, I only had one, but I told her I could quickly make two for her if she could wait a bit for me to get them done. They had Marcel spend the night on Friday night for a birthday sleepover (tons of spoiling going on there...which is fabulous!) and were dropping him off a bit later. The first one is based on this layout from Laurie's card. And the second is based on this incredible card from Cristina. I love making cards with a particular person in mind and the inspiration from two of my favorite blogging friends gave me a jump start on both of these. What about you...do you typically make cards just because or with a particular person in mind? Most of my cards (with the exception of Christmas cards) are made with a particular person in mind.
PS the sequins on the first card really do match the card...no sure what is up with my camera colors. Top card has a Verve sentiment; bottom card is all PaperSmooches.

Love them both Lynn, I'm always in awe of your soft, beautiful color choices!
I agree with Maureen... Think I will be able to spot one of your cards from a distance! Pinned this for future inspiration!

Oh these are both beautiful Lynn! I love the bit of patterned paper in the first one. I'm always trying to figure out ways to incorporate pp into my cards and still keep them CAS. Fabulous cards!!
