Visiting Nana

Happy Wednesday my friends. I'm out of town for work today and back late this evening.  Hopefully the flights home are smooth ones!  I'm popping in to share a card for the current CAS-ual Fridays challenge...to used buttons on a card. I pulled out my PaperSmooches set and had fun creating this card for Pat. I left this for him yesterday before I left for the airport.  Oh how I do love him.

We spent the next few days of our trip visiting my nana.  If you've followed my blog for a while, you may remember that I went to see her last year.  She's 94 and is amazing.  She doesn't get out much but her mind is so sharp.  She looks so much better than she did last year.  Here are a few highlights from our visit.  Pat, Jonathon, Collin, Marcel and I walked up to Cowdrey Park to see the ruins. Elizabeth and Ryan stayed back to paint.  Absolutely gorgeous views.

Here is Nana with each of the boys.  I love and will certainly treasure these photos.

My nana is extremely creative.  She kept the boys busy during our visit.  The little boys were all making sequin fruit.  It kept the three of them occupied for a couple of days!  And when they weren't working on their sequin fruit, they were painting. Elizabeth created amazing oil paintings while the boys all worked with water colors.  You can get a look inside her studio from the pictures.  It's paint and sequin heaven!

guests in the studio! LOL I love it! And sequins are so in now...nana was ahead of the trend, maybe even started it! I sure see you in her, Lynn :) What precious memories :) If Pat is anything like Tony...he loves and appreciates those little notes from us :) Now that I can text (like all the cool kids), I sent him silly little texts while he was away...it made his days away :) ox
