Thankful for You

After a very, very long wait (at least two hours after their scheduled time), the kids performed their song for the America's Got Talent producers.  Apparently the producers didn't talk to the group but did ask their director for a full video of their show this year.  So now they wait...until probably March or early April to see if they get to go on the show.   Ryan said there was lots of very interesting people to try out there was also an anime convention going on in the same building.  I had never heard about it, but needless to say it sounded a bit strange.   Such a cool experience for them to see the beginning of what starts a show like this and absolutely no worries at all if it doesn't go any further!
{Ryan and his good friend, Matt}

Ardyth celebrated her one year blogging anniversary this weekend.  She has a fun challenge going on to take one of the first cards you posted on your blog and used it as inspiration to make a new card.  I have to say I laughed when I looked at my first card as I still love this color combination and the SU grosgrain ribbon is one of my all time embellishments.  So I used the color combo as my inspiration and the gradient inking too on the leaves.   If you have a minute, come play along too!

Here's the original post :)

What a great experience - to see how it works and start to really understand how many people are involved and how hard you have to work to go far! Can't wait to hear the result! And thanks for playing along with my challenge - I went back to the first one I ever posted on Splitcoast (back in 2006) and it actually looks a lot like yours, so we must have been right in style at the time! Love your remake - fresh and pretty - love the gradient inking!

Both of your cards are fabulous but I guess that the newest one shows your CAS style has emerged to a greater degree!

The colour scheme is just as lovely now as it was originally. I like all the white space in your new design.

What an exciting experience for Ryan and the choir! Hope I get to see them on the show!

Sounds like a fun challenge from Ardyth although I'm a little scared to look back to the beginning of my blog! LOL! Love how you used the elements of the original card and pared it down to your signature CAS style!
