Embellish Challenge

So...do you think it's time for me to take a break from all of my Christmas card creating! I think so...I love the colors for the current Embellish Challenge and my all time favorite ribbon is the grograin ribbon from Stampin' Up.  This challenge was a match made in heaven for me!  So...I couldn't wait to play along.  And I also thought I pop this onto the CASology Challenge for this week too.

Now let's chat for a minute.  I was feeling pretty grumpy yesterday...stressed and so I was having a conversation with myself about being grateful.  So here's my list of what I am grateful for today:
  • I'm grateful that my mum is healing well from her knee replacement surgery...and Pat's text to me last night since I'm traveling, "Your mum looked great today."
  • I'm grateful for my co-workers who work hard to help our clients and help each other.
  • I'm grateful that my parents taught my brothers and me to talk about what we're worried about..not ignore it.
  • I'm thankful for a day out with Jonathon on Sunday.  We went to his first ever Bengals game.  I'm not a huge fan of the team, but it was great one on one time on a gorgeous fall day.
  • I'm grateful for blogging.   It is a huge stress relief for me and I am so thankful for your heartfelt comments.
  • I'm thankful for my hubby who knows me so well and helps take the stress away!
  • I'm thankful for my four boys who all spent time telling me how their day went yesterday.
I really could go on and on...but I'm going to sign off now.  How about you?  What are you grateful for today?

Your card is beautiful. I love that ribbon and have to admit I have never tried it, so might have to.
I too am grateful for so many things and I think we don't always take time to list them. Might have to do a scrapbook page about that.

Perfect timing with this post, Lynn - I had the same kind of day yesterday - too much to do and no time to do it all - thank you for reminding me about all the things in life that are important!

Love your beautiful card - that bow is delish! :)

So glad to know your mom is doing well!

oh, this is just out of this world gorgeous, Lynn! At first I thought the flowers were grey and LOVED that idea, but then I saw the challenge colours and they are probably a wisteria colour :) Either way, this is one fabulous card. Those pretty peonies are the bee's knees! I love your grateful list and let's add another one...that our complaints don't last long when we focus on our abundant lives! Hugs!

This is so sweet and pretty! I love the pop of color the pink ribbon adds and the simple scallops along the bottom are a beautiful addition to the design! Thanks for joining us at CASology this week! :)

p.s. Your boys ARE beautiful!! I have 3 and, though they keep us running (8,6,2), they are the highlight of our days! :)

Oh, Lynn, we really must talk. I, too, have been feeling grumpy and stressed. Thus, my lack of personal info on my blog. It's been a wonderful distraction to have releases back-to-back, but I must face reality. Sigh. Thank you for reminding us to be thankful in everything! Today, I'm thankful for YOU!

And your card is delightfully elegant! LOVE that blue and pink!

I am thankful everyday for my husband and parents-these 3 people are a true blessing! xx

Beautiful card, Lynn!

Your gratitude list is great! I've been overwhelmed with end-of-year activities for the past few weeks and there are still two weeks to go before end of school. It is good to be reminded to be thankful! I am thankful that my daughter has such musical talent that she is included in these many concerts as the year ends!

While I love the inspiration, I didn't get to make some myself yet (other than for assignments). Soooo, I have to confess, I am very grateful for Christmas card breaks ;) Especially if it's as gorgeous as this thank you card!! Your list is beautiful as well and I do believe this is a wonderful way to remedy any grumpiness :)
