Time to Wish You a Happy Birthday

Pink and green...yes I say this every single time...one of my favorite color combos!  I had fun using  patterned paper for this awesome sketch over at The Craft's Meow.  For the sentiment I did a bit of masking to add the birthday sentiment instead of it saying father's day.  Love when you can mix and match your stamps!

In other news, I've tried four recipes from Pinterest over the last week. Two were not very good...but the second two that were VERY EASY were good - one was muffins and the other a dessert.  Jonathon asked me, "Mom, is this the year you are going to become a cooker?"  I started cracking up.  Since I work full time, Pat does almost all the cooking!

HAhahaha! It sounds like you were a great "cooker" Lynn :) Well....at least on two of the recipes! Awesome that you are actually making some things from Pinterest! The sentiment goes great with the image, and how great that you changed it to fit your need :) Love that color combo too!

I like the sketch interpretation-using a tag is nice & brings interest to the card.

The twine thru the button on the ribbon is always cute.

I love hearing what your kids do & say! Since my son is grown-it brings back warm memories.

Have a blessed day.

LOL, oh how funny is that? What did Pat say? It's been a hit and miss for me with Pinterest recipes. It's such a let down too when they say "best chicken recipe EVER!" and you follow it to a "t" and it's terrible. I've decided that chicken is just not a meat that does well in the crock pot! LOL Such a lovely tag and yes, that colour combo is gorgeous...look for it on my card tomorrow ;)

Kids say the cutest things. I love pink and green too. Your card is just fantastic, I love that PTI tag and the background paper is beautiful.

I'm with your re: pink and green. Loooove that color combo and use it often. Lovely take on the sketch.

I had to LOL at your son's comment. My hubby is the chef in our family 85 percent of the time. He loves to cook and is very good at it. I on the other hand, do not enjoy cooking. Can do breakfast as it's my favorite meal of the day and can bake, but don't ask me to do a main meal LOL!

That color combo really is gorgeous, Lynn! It has springtime written all over it, and I adore the way you've combined the sentiment fonts! Now, get back in the kitchen, you, cooker, you! LOVE it!

Oooohhh...you'll have to share the recipes that were a hit! I don't cook and have a ton of stuff in my Pinterest delish board...I want to be a "Cooker" one day:)
