Just Us Girls: Technique Challenge

Lisa, Lisa, Lisa is our hostess this week for the Just Us Girls Challenge.  She picks out fabulous techniques for us all to try!  At first I looked at the technique video and thought, oh no, I don't have some of those supplies, but guess what?  Distress Inks work just as well as the brayer shown in the video. So pop over to this video on Gina K's site and I'm sure that you'll be inspired just like I was!

Can't wait to see what you create!  Be sure to stop by the Just Us Girls blog and check out the design team's inspiration cards!

Oh my brayer is sorely neglected, but my distress inks are very much in use... stunning colors.

so beautiful and serene, a perfect sympathy card :) I remember a similar technique years ago at my Stampers 10 meetings. Braying over glossy paper and then using Lovely as a Tree :) I don't think they'll ever retire that set...I see it's still in the new catalogue :) Yeah on Ryan's win! So is this a special team for a few weeks or were they all together all year and this is the play offs?

Your card is gorgeous, Lynn! Love the sunset you created. A great sample of this wonderful technique. After finding I had no scenery stamps, I have decided I need to get Lovely as a Tree which I have been putting off for forever.

Your inking is incredible, Lynn! I'm still Distress ink-phobic and need to work on my blending skills. :) Love the serenity you achieved with this scene.

So lovely to get your comments. I am enjoying being creative again. Love how you have done the challenge. The perfect image to use as a silouette against the gorgeous background colours. I have done some brayering and have thought about getting one. Will tuck this idea away and have a go as you have.

I checked out everyone's design & I like yours the best! The colors really do remind you of outside with that stamped image.

I tried my hand at it & like it.

thanks for sharing.
