Class of 2016

On the last day of school, the eighth grade class had a graduation party at a local sand volleyball court. What a blast!  Three hours worth of hanging out with friends (and attempting to make a pyramid...don't you just love their smiles!...Ryan is the fourth boy from the right on the bottom).

At the party, they all received Class of 2016 t-shirts.  I have to admit that seeing that made my heart ache a bit.  It's a strange feeling having a child entering high school and thinking it just four short years  he'll be leaving for college. I look so forward to the amazing things he will accomplish, but it's hard to believe how the years pass so quickly.  So here's to the Class of 2016...and a wonderful start to their high school years.  Let's cherish every moment.

So in honor of this time of year...another graduation card.  Remember this card from last week?  Well, I really enjoyed layering the stamps so when I saw the Embellish Collage Challenge I thought I have do to it again and create a collage using stamps.  I used all sets from the Craft's Meow again...added a few different ones.  I love the sentiment on this.  I'll be using this a lot!

Okay, you rock the stamping here...and have totally inspired me!!!! My momma asked for a graduation card and I'm definitely using today's card as my inspiration:)

I really like that sentiment too, Lynn, and love your beautiful layering!

You're so right - we have to enjoy every moment - it all happens so fast. My youngest will be a senior next year. *big sigh*

What a fantastic graduation card Lynn and what a great time it looks like the kids are having. My baby is just finishing grade 9 and my oldest is in grade 12 next year. The heart does ache.

Ugh! Oh, I can totally understand why your heart aches a little, Lynn! I know it'll be here way before I want it to be.

And your card is fabulous! LOVE all that stamping! This color palette is divine. I'll have mine up with Papercraft Star early tomorrow morning. Hugs!

Nothing makes time move faster than watching your children grow! Mine are not that age yet, but all too soon. Always love seeing what you create with these Craft's Meow stamps. Wonderful card, Lynn!

This will go down as my new favorite card of yours. It embodies perfect composition, perfect color distribution and only you can layer stamps like this. Wow, congratulations on having a high schooler! Went to my husband's nephew's graduation this past weekend, I first met him when he was my youngest's age, and to see him walk down all tall and grown up....I admit I might have gotten a bit teary eyed!

what a fun way to celebrate the end of the year and into high school! Did they complete the pyramid? LOL Poor Ryan was on the bottom, although that may be the easiest position?! There you go mixing all those fabulous colours again with the most inspiring sentiment :) I agree, it's a keeper :)

Collage-a-palooza! Now why couldn't I manage a card that looked this good when I tried to mesh a bunch of stamps together? Love it!

Fun to think that you did the collage as a one layer.
