CAS-ual Fridays #52: Feathered Friends

When I first saw this week's challenge for CAS-ual Fridays...I thought "Feathers...hmmm"  I don't have any feather stamps.  Then I remembered...the friends part of the challenge!  Hello...lots I can do with that but I'll be honest...I still struggled a bit!  The picture looks a bit blurry so I apologize.

To make the card, I punched out the patterned woodgrain and mounted it on three layers of cardstock to give it a bit of dimensions.  The leaves were die cut from canvas and inked up a bit with Ranger Inks.  The bird was die cut and also inked up as well with Ranger Inks. The edges of the bird have a touch of blue so I choose to add a little touch of color by putting the sentiment in blue.  In the end happier with this card than with my others...so I'm rolling with it!
This week our sponsor is Annabelle Stamps!  Thank you so much for sponsoring us!

Let me know what you think and be sure to check out what the other Gal Fridays have been up to this week!  What type of feathered friend would you like to create?

Still pining over these dies and loving the way they look with the woodgrain. I really love this design and the way the sentiment balances the die cuts.
