This week's challenge over on CAS-ual Friday's is a fun one! I am notorious for singing the wrong song lyrics so I have to be careful that I don't quote out a whole song incorrectly. I still like to sing even if I might not know the right words.
At first, I wanted to find a stamp to go along with one of my favorite songs from Jason Mraz, Don't Ever Give Up, but I didn't have any stamps that went with the lyrics. I may or may not replay this and sing to it a lot in my card. Since I didn't have stamps for my first choice, I went for the second song that came to mind...It had to be you, wonderful you! I used the same sponging technique I used on last week's CAS-ual Friday's challenge plus added a very fun PTI flourish (thanks Moe for sharing your goodies!). I think I'll use this to encourage Ryan...he's got some exciting things coming up: a school play and try outs for high school show choir. I'm proud of him...staying true to himself and working really hard!

love the colours and the flourish and I am sure this will motibate Ryan.
I hadn't heard the song 'I won't give up' but what wonderful words, so thanks for including the clip. I shall keep this x
You know the song from Creedence Clearwater Revival (or whatever the actual name is) called Bad Moon Rising? For the first 25 years of my life I kept singing "there's a bathroom on the right." Yep. For real...I'm not good with songs or words. Congratulations to Ryan and kudos for keeping up the good work. Your card is beautiful Lynn, I think it has the perfect amount of movement. Thanks too for playing at CAS-ual Fridays!
Totally cool card using my favorite colors together! The flourish is amazing and I like how you added a masculine touch by adding the stripes.
I keep meaning to go to lyrics.com (I think) to correct all those botched lyrics I keep in my head. Oh, there are many!
Such a beauty... love it's simplicity and charm.

I'm all over the place with singing in the studio...but it is usually a country love song of some sort!! LOVE that flourish and so glad you tried it out to make sure it wasn't defective before leaving the country ;) This is the perfect card for Ryan. His wings are really spreading this year!
Oh, I LOVE Jason Mraz, too! We should design some stamps around his songs. ;) This is so pretty! LOVE the colors! That flourish is so cool, too. I CASEd your woodgrain "get well" card from the other day, so pretty, it "stuck" with me! Hope you are doing well and the boys are excited for Easter. :)
Hooray for Ryan. Love the sponged strips.
I think we can all relate to your song lyric mix-up! FUNNY post! Love the flourish and the sentiment! FAB card!
Aw... I am ALSO notorious for singing the wrong song lyrics (LOL) just like you, Lynn! I really like the song and your card is simply gorgeous! I love the composition---it is just perfect! This song was played in the movie "You've Got mail" at the end. I always remember how perfect that ending was. Now your card take it to the top! Glad that you have fun with this week's CAS-ual Friday's Challenge!
This is SO pretty! I am loving that flourish....do I need those dies? ;) I got your text! I can't wait for you to come up this way again! We'll talk soon! Thanks for playing along at CAS-ual Fridays!
Tonight I was at my girl friend Nella and made a CAS card too. White and ... blue :) What a coincidence. I will post it tomorrow.
Now I have to go to sleep, it's past midnight...
Bye! Judith
I cant carry a tune in a bucket but still like to sing! :) I mix up the words all the time too, makes my boys laugh!
This card is fabulous! Awesome colors and a wonderful design!
Sing like no one is listening. Always love the chance to do this. Love the flourish. Have definitely got this one on the wish list now they have the die.
LOL! I'm sure we all have a collection of botched song lyrics in our brains. :) My favourite was my little brother singing Bon Jovi's "Blaze of Glory". He would sing, "Shot down in a blazing lorry!" Tee hee!
Loving your sponged stripes and how perfectly they come out. A lovely card for Ryan. Sending best wishes for all these exciting events! :)
perfect!
Making up the lyrics is what singing along is all about, right?! I know I often do this in the car at full volume: it only becomes an issue when at the traffic lights LOL!
Well you hit this song spot on and I love the fresh feel of your fabulous CAS card!
Hugs,

Wonderful song and beautiful card! I also get the words wrong-isn't that half the fun? :) Glad you played at CAS-ual Fridays!
Well I guess I have to admit to a few lyric blunders too....too many to mention and others that I haven't realised yet!!! :0)
That's a fabulous song to choose and makes a great card for Ryan too.Good for him following his own path :0)

I am horrible with songs and titles. I would never know the difference if you sang it incorrectly. :)
Beautiful card dear.
