Thoughts on Coaching
We are getting ready to start another baseball season with our boys. Three out of four boys are playing this year so we'll be spending lots of time at the baseball fields. Pat has all the uniforms and equipment bags ready to go for the 70 or so Little League teams in our community. I love this time of year!
With this time of year comes the opportunity for a coach to positively influence a child. And what a priviledge it is to be able to coach a child. In our community, we have a young boy named Gabe who wears braces on his legs. I don't know why Gabe has leg braces, nor does it matter. What matters is that Gabe has been blessed to have baseball coaches that didn't look at his braces but looked at him as a boy who wanted to learn the game of baseball. Take a look at this video.
And a Card...
for the current PTI anniversary challenge. Hope you have a wonderful evening!

Thank you. :}
Beautiful card, wondering if I'm going to be able to make something materialize...
This card is just beautiful, Lynn! And congrats to Collin on his First Communion. He's soooo cute.
totally agree! What an inspirational video :) And hugs to Pat for being such a positive influence in so many young lives :) I know you are so proud of him for that :) What a lovely lovely card! I've just finished mine and then hopefully we'll be hanging some ribbon racks!!
Lynn, what a beautiful post! You and your hubby must be so loved, by so many, in your community. It's attitudes and beliefs like yours that build a strong sense of self for the kids your hubby coaches. They are all lucky to have you both in their lives! Love your pretty card with my fave colors! Hugs to you! :)
Wow that's such a simple but powerful message put across so well Lynn..... thanks for posting it :0)
Thanks for sharing a beautiful card too, I love that delicate foliage branch .

Beautiful post my friend. <3 And beautiful card! LOVE IT!! (:
Beautiful video. I hope all the coaches take it to heart. I know a few I'd like to show it to...
And a beautiful card too - love the mist and colourful butterflies.
I'll have to come back and check out the video later, it sounds like its pretty thought provoking. For the card, love all those colored butterflies in a row at the bottom!
pretty card! like what you did with the bling. they look like grapes.
What an awesome video! TFS. I think EVERY coach in America should watch that one. Loving your card, too! :)
Wonderful card! The strip of butterflies is sweet! Like the gems, too!
What an incredible video and powerful quote at the end. It really moved me to encourage others (and myself) to see the full potential in people regardless of appearance and diabilities. Thanks for sharing it!
Lynn,
As always this is a beautiful card...the video was so meaningful. Thank you so much for sharing this. I am going to share this with the people I know who touch children's lives daily.
Thanks for sharing the video. I would like to share the video if it is ok with you. Beautiful card. love the subtle misting and butterfly patterned paper.
Really gorgeous colors on your card! That is a lovely pink card stock! I have the hardest time finding pink CS that I like. I'm so with you on your graceful thoughts today. People always judge you on the outside when you hav any type of disability whether it be physical, mental, or developmental. You never know what strengths they have until you get to know the child! Such an inspiring story!
The video is amazing Thank God for people like you to help those like Gabe!
God Bless!
The video wasn't working very well for me, but I LOVE this! I bet Gabe teaches more to the people who are lucky enough to cross his path than anyone could ever teach him. Thank you for sharing! And your card is beautiful! I adore that multi-colored row of butterflies!
beautiful video.
and your card is gorgeous!
