'Tis the Season for Family & Friends

I love when you start to work on a challenge and an idea pops right into your head!  This card was one of those times.  At first I thought about a fall card, but need to keep moving on the Christmas cards so I was happy when the idea of holly popped into my head.  Kept it very CAS.  I love the font on the Technique Tuesday stamps.  I'm thinking a little shopping trip for more Technique Tuesday stamps may be in my future!  Happy Tuesday dear blogging friends!  Thanks Embellish for always giving us awesome inspiration photos/colors.
PS Sorry about the shadows on the photo...adjusting to taking photos inside again :(

Before I sign off, I thought I'd share a story that made me laugh yesterday morning.  Monday mornings are my morning to carpool for show choir.  3 boys/3 girls and pick up starts at 6:25 am. I never really know whether it will be complete silence or there will be some chatter.  If there is chatter, it is normally the girls starting the conversation. Well yesterday there was lots of chatter.  Short school week (only two days) and choreography weekend meant there was lots to talk about. The conversation turned to what boys were "lifting" what girls for one of the songs they'll be performing.  Of course, I had to ask whether or not Ryan was lifting a girl.  Then comes a response from one of the girls. "He doesn't just have a lift, big, strong, Ryan, he has to lift a girl to his shoulder."  Okay...I started laughing and I could feel his embarassment as he sat next to me.  Can't wait to see them perform!  Get ready for the lifts! :)

Gorgeous CAS card!! I love the fine elements in this one! It's always nice to hear the kids chattering in the backseats! I always have my ears peeled when I drive them...gone are those days! My David drives himself to school every day this year (sigh!)! Enjoy the "lift"!!

aw, poor Ryan...mom had to be driving during that conversation! You'd better sneak some pictures of that lift!! Wow! I have always admired/loved the Tuesday stamps :) Love the different font :) Are those holly leaves PTI dies? I don't have them so had to make my own last week for that Christmas card with the big snowflake :) Does your weekend start tomorrow as well? or just the kids?
