My Sweet Jonathon

Before I get to my card, I have to share about my sweet Jonathon.  Pat and I received the following email from his teacher Friday morning.  Doesn't that just make your heart sing.  I am so thankful for compassionate teachers and my sweet Jonathon.

Hello!

I just wanted to let you both know that Jonathon had an awesome first quarter of 5th grade! He is so sweet and polite to everyone! He always participates and always gives 110%. Even though he has papers everywhere (!), he always has his homework completed and ready to turn in! I'm sure you already know what a great kid he is at home but I just wanted you to know how great he is at school as well!

Have a great weekend!

Megan

Yesterday, Jonathon had a rough day.  He fell on his bike.  He knocked out two baby teeth and one of his front teeth.  Thankfully, we are friends with our dentist and he was home so we were able to go see him immediately and he put his front tooth back in since it came out with the entire root.  Pretty amazing, but my sweet boy had a very cut up face and his lips are so swollen from the fall he took.  I'm so thankful that our dentist was able to salvage his tooth.

Now onto my card.  I love the soft colors in the Play Date Cafe 2nd Anniversary Challenge.  If you look closely you can see the HA envelope pattern background.  Nice simple birthday card with a few gems added to a little extra texture.

Well I think yourself and Pat and give yourself some credit for the fabulous boys you have (and obviously Jonathon can have some well deserved credit too for his efforts!)
Poor thing! That sounds like a nasty fall - so lucky with having a dentist nearby AND having one that was able to salvage his tooth! Hope he feels better and heals soon!
Your card is gorgeous! I really love that subtle background (I need that stamp don't I?!)
Hugs,

Oh poor, Jonathon!! I hope he heals up soon and am so glad to hear that your dentist could help out so quickly. And what a fantastic message from his teacher! :) Big pats on the back to you all.

And I love the beautiful CAS card. That envelope pattern is so simple but always adds so much to a card.

Oh lynn ~ Your poor baby!!! I can only imagine how you must have felt! I remember my little girl sliding on a water slide and there was a sharp object that she hit and it tore her thigh open about 6 inches...it just killed me...BTW, your card is elegant to the max...Hope Jonathon is on the mend and also hope he will get back on his bike again!!

That really is an amazing email to receive from the teacher, totally makes your heart sing! What a great boy you have! So sorry to hear about his bike accident! Teeth falling out is so scary especially a permanent one! To get a dental implant is over 5 thousand dollars! So happy it was fixed! :> Love your CAS card today!

Oh, poor thing! Gosh, he must be in so much pain! I'm so, so sorry, Lynn! It feels so weird to put this in the same comment, but your card is beautiful! LOVE the sweet simplicity of its design, and you've worked magic with this beautiful color story! Thanks so much for playing with us this week at The Play Date Cafe!

And what a gorgeous CAS :) Love the way you place everything around the sentiment :) Internet, t.v., phone scheduled to be installed on November 5th, tentative move in date :) Woohoo!!

Oh GOODNESS! Poor kid, the same thing happened to my nephew with the bike and the teeth, it seemed so painful & it is really scary. :( My 5th grader hasn't knocked any teeth out, but has broken his arm TWICE this year! Oy. These boys! I really hope Jonathon is feeling better now! :(
