Good morning, popping in with a very CAS card today featuring the colors from this week's Just Us Girls Challenge. This has been put in the mail already to my friend Janet who lost her husband last week. Of how I wish I didn't go through cards like this so quickly.
I also thought you might like to hear about the first day of school. Here are the two older boys. Ryan declared, "Do we really have to take pictures outside?" I gave in that we didn't have to do it in the front of the house, but on the side by the garage. Earlier in the morning, Pat told Ryan I was walking him to the bus stop. I assured him saying I'd be sure to take pictures at the bus stop of everyone...and expected him to wave as he got onto the bus. Not the best picture of Ryan...but I love to look at the height difference year over year.
Here's Collin with Daddy...handsome and ready to go for the first day of school. After his birthday breakfast of eggs and bacon (which he would love to eat every day...he loves anything protein...no carbs for him.)And unlike the middle school crowd, the grade school crowd wlecomes a picture at the bus stop. These are our favorite neighborhood friends: Elle, Jake, Collin, Logan and William.
The day finished with Collin's birthday dinner with Nana and PopPop and lots of chatter about new and old friends they met at school. My shy one, Collin proclaimed, "Daddy, I spoke up really well like we talked about." "I told my teacher about going to the zoo with my nana." Oh how I love watching my boys grow up.
Today is Marcel's big day. The first day of kindergarten. I'll be back soon from pictures of his day...I hope all of you with new school starting are having great first days back!

Let's try this again...having a hard time posting.
Sorry to hear about your friend's husband. :( This is a beautiful card and all you can do is pray for her.
Your boys are so handsome, hope they had a great 1st day! :)
Your inking on this card is gorgeous, Lynn, but I agree - it's too bad we have to make them at all.
Your boys are gorgeous too! So funny how they go from hams to camera shy so quickly. :) Hope Marcel's first day goes well today! What's Pat going to do with himself??
What a very beautiful sympathy card!
Your boys are so handsome!
A beautiful CAS card! I love your inking of that flower - I bet the recipient will really appreciate it. Shame we have to make these types of cards though - I think they're tougher than the guy cards.
What fab pics of your boys! Sounds like the first day went without a hitch! Fingers crossed it's the same for Marcel!
Hugs,
Aimes

Did you really tell Ryan he had to wave? And you didn't tell us if he actually did it. . .Love this post, Lynn! Hope they all had a good day and I'm looking forward to hearing about Marcel's first day of Kindergarten!
Love your pretty CAS card. I'm sure your friend will appreciate it. Such a sad and difficult time for her. . .Hugs to you.
This is gorgeous! I may have to get that sunflower set after all!!
Look at those handsome boys all ready for school!! LOVE that you take their pictures :) I did that the first few years with Jake and then was working full time so was a little busy on the first day of school too :) lol
What a beautiful card...but so sad for your friend. Just heartbreaking. I'm sure it will lift her spirits knowing so many friends are thinking of her and sending her prayers. Hugs :)
