Play Date Cafe

Posted by Picasa

Hello there...are you all enjoying the summer weather?  It is hot, hot, hot here.  The boys are all down in the basement.  I have three home plus about seven friends.  Ryan is organizing a game of poker...hmmm...wonder where he got that idea? Check out this post if you're curious :).  I love that he wants to have his friends over to our house.  I give Ryan about ten minutes before he gets frustrated with his little brothers and two of their friends being down there.

Now...onto my card.  When I first looked at the colors for this week's Play Date Cafe, I wasn't sure I was going to play along, but I took a peek around at my supplies and found a nice piece of "butter cream" paper and started creating.  I'm happy with the clean design.  Hope you are all staying cool if it's hot in your neck of the woods!

These colours scared me but you nailed them! Love the opposite rounded corners. :)

I wish it was hot in my neck of the woods, instead it's freezing as we are in the middle of Winter!

Love the clean fresh look of your card Lynn.

teehee...how long did the little boys last? or the big ones? You almost have a multiage class on your hands!! LOVE this card and you rocked those colours :) I just got that set yesterday in the mail, not from PTI but from a blogcandy win :) Can't wait to use it :) I totally messed up on the colours...you'll see today on my blog. 9 or 5 more days... :) We are having cool/rainy weather here...perfect for picking out fixtures and stampin :) Not necessarily in that order ;)

I'm SO glad you found that buttercream paper because if you hadn't we would've missed out on this beautiful creation - so soft and delicate - so Lynn. :) Glad to have you playing at The Play Date CAfe.

Oh I so love your take on the colors! I like that you focused on the buttercream! :> And having the kids at your house is the best way to be part of your kids lives and know what they are up to! I hope and will try to be that mom too. I already am on my way by having my daughter's little friends for playdates all the time!
