A Base Hit!

My little guy, Collin, is playing his first season of baseball.  We skip t-balls and start in first grade when it is a combination of coach and dad pitch.  Collin hasn't had too many hits this year, but he had one last night and his teammates had enough hits that he made it all the way home.  Here he is running towards first base!  And I love this one when he is on second watching his teammate at bat.
Their team plays for the tournament championship tomorrow night.  A great season win or lose!

Now onto my card!
I loved the challenge this week at Cas-ual Friday's.  I chose the tic-tac-toe row of buttons, flowers and twine.  When I made the card, I first stamped the background with the Hero Arts Envelope Stamp and then slightly inked the edges. I then colored the Hero Arts Garden Bouquet with my Stampin' Up markers.  To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment on the tag and adhered it along with the button and twine.

This is gorgeous, Lynn! Did you ink up the flowers with markers? The background is awesome too - nice inking on the edges.

Collin looks so serious while he waits on base - too cute! :)

I love this, Lynn! I've added it to my Cards I Love pinboard in Pinterest... I just love how the inking creates a natural border, the burst of color from the flowers and how you used your double-ended banner with the button and twine! Fab!!
Is that patterned paper or did you stamp that fabric-looking background?
