One of my mum's friends, Maureen, placed a card order with me yesterday.  Happy day!  So...I spent a couple of hours working on cards for her.  She asked for a set of thinking of you, birthday and sympathy cards...and I got to pick what to make.  Happiness!  My first card is a thinking of you card for the current Play Date Cafe challenge.  I loved the colors this week.  Hope your week gets off to a great start.  The weather was very nice yesterday...perfect to start my day with a run (yikes...only about nine weeks until I run my second half marathon) and lots of play time with the boys outside. The bikes and rollerblades were out and we took a few short walks.  Perfect way to spend a Sunday!

Ingredients:  SU Ink:  Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive and Peach Parfait; Stamps:  Hero Arts and PTI; Twine:  PTI Ink

Love the overstamping effect, as well as your distribution of color.

Lynn, this is a magnificent use of this week's PDCC colors! That bird and twig stamped over the text is perfection. So glad you played along. :)

How exciting to have a commission! And what a great card, Lynn! The colors are fantastic and you used them perfectly. We've had some nice warm days, too. (But it would be much more enjoyable if I were allergy-free!) Good luck with the half-marathon training!

This is beautiful, your mum's friend will love it. I am also trying this challenge this week and failing terribly at the moment trying to use these colours. But you have done a brilliant job!

Lynn, I'm so happy for you that you got an order, AND got to pick what to make! That is the most fun. Getting paid to do what you love. Thanks for playing with us again at the Cafe!
