Knowing Your Style

I decided to play along with the CPS Challenge this week.  I started off by making this card.  Let's just say vintage is not my style...yuck!  I really don't like this card, but I thought I'd share it anyway.

Then...I made this card which is my style.   Note to self:  stick with clean and simple.  Much happier with this one.
It's Friday!  Hope your weekend gets off to a great start!

Maybe not your usual style but still a lovely card. Anyway it's good to step out of our comfort zones once in a while - I think it ends up improving our style in he long run! Have a great weekend! :)

Your first card is very pretty Lynn. The second I love the layout and the colours.

I think your first card is great, but I do like them both.

I'm not a HUGE vintage person either but as far as vintage goes, you've kept this pretty CAS. ;) I like the colors of it and the touch of lace and jute.
I love the tree over text on your second card!

The vintage style is so difficult for me too, Lynn. It's good to try new things though, and I like your vintage card. The flowers and lace are really beautiful! Love the second one too! Pretty, layered stamping and wonderful, neutral colors! Have a good weekend!

Lynn you are being to hard on yourself. The first card is quite lovely. I love the touch of the lace.
CAS is nice too and you pulled it off well.

So glad that you've shown both cards. Such pretty colors. They are both so great, but I have to agree, I like the second. Its good though to go outside of the comfort zone though, right, because it makes you appreciate you more. At least that is my opinion.

Well, I think both look great, Lynn. On the first one you did a great job of centering the patterned paper design on the card... a detail that is often overlooked. But, I think I'm a bit like you. I may dabble in a vintage style now and then, but I'm a clean and simple girl at heart. :)

Lynn, you rock star! Saw your pubs last night in the Feb. Cards issue. I was admiring the Valentine one and was pleasantly surprised when I saw your name below. Great cards! (Also, really like the clean and simple card on this post!).

I love that you posted the first one even though you didn't like it. I think it's awesome, although you know I'm a CAS girl to the core, too. :) And congrats on your recent pubs! I just saw them! Wooooooo!

I love both of your cards! I am more of a CAS kinda girl, but I really like how the flowers come off of the side of the card on the first. Very beautiful! :)

What an amazing job for not even being your style. The lace makes it look so sweet! :-)

Lynn....not your usual style? Oh my. It is fabulous! I love everything about it!

Lynn, I bought CARDS for the first time ever and I love your projects in them! You cracked me up with the whole vintage talk. It's not really my style either but it's fun to break out of our comfort zone once in a while. I think both of these cards are wonderful. Different, yes, but definitely wonderful! Oh, and there is such a thing as CAS vintage. You'll find a way to do it. I know you will! ;)

Lynn, I truly LOVE both of these cards for different reasons. The second is more YOU but the first is very pretty!
