Christmas Day

The day started early...Collin tried to start the day at 1:24 am...he looked over the balcony into our family room and saw that Santa had come!  He, Marcel and Jonathon were sent back to bed and woke pack up at 6:50....much better!  Collin did announce later in the morning that he snuck downstairs and looked in his stocking!
I'm not sure this teenager was awake at 6:50...even though he gets up earlier than this for school.
After the presents were opened...we spent a lot of time putting together Lego ships for Marcel!
We relaxed and played until early afternoon and then headed over to Nana and PopPop's house....and started the day with some play time with Uncle Mark!
And several games of find the pickle...Aunt Molly was the pickle hider!
Collin was the winner of his age group!
Will and Marcel having a serious conversation about the where the pickle might be...
Pat and Mark had the hardest time finding the pickle for the "adult" age group...nice job by Molly in hiding it!
Shelby enjoying cuddle time on PopPop's lap. (wearing her new headband from Nana!)
Good old fashion play time with the cousins (we're missing a few in this pic...Ryan, Kate and Baby J-J)
And I didn't capture some of the best times we have around the dinner table anytime we are at Mom and Dad Mangans house...there is always hilarious story telling going on around the dinner table.  We are so blessed to have wonderful families!

Love all those happy faces. :) Have you ever taken Marcel to one of the Legoland parks? I was a Lego junkie when I was a kid and we went to the one in Denmark when I was 12 (I won a Lego building competition sponsored by a local department store). It was a fantastic place in general but really wonderous for Lego lovers. I think there area a few in the US...

My favorite kind of post! What a wonderful family you have, Lynn! Your photos bring back so many fun memories for me and our boys! So cute that Collin snuck a peek in his stocking! Made me giggle! The sheer excitement of Christmas morning with the little ones is priceless, isn't it?! Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year!

oh, this is priceless, Lynn...I'm so glad Santa brought Marcel some "legos." How magical :) So, we were just talking about pickle decorations being a tradition in (is it Germany?) another country. Or is this just something fun your family does? I can totally relate to your BIG family dinners :) They are the best :)
