He Did It!

Jonathon did it!  I'm so proud of my little man.  He got his brown belt in karate yesterday!   Last month, his nerves got the best of him and he didn't break his boards.  Yesterday, his emotions were raw...and I mean raw.  He was close to tears as he went to break his boards, but he broke both boards on the first try.  So proud of how hard he worked.  He LOVES karate...really LOVES it, so it was very hard to see him disappointed.  I loved his comment in the car on the way home.  Jonathon, "Are you ready to learn your form for brown belt?"  "Yea mom, I already printed it out."  He knew he could do it!  Way to go Jonathon!  Time to practice for black belt testing!

Celebrating at the end with Mr. Patten...I admire this man so much.  To say he is a fabulous instructor is an understatement.

P.S....didn't take any pictures of the board breaking...this mom was too nervous...plus I can get them from the photographer who does the website photos! :)
