Just Us Girls

Before my card?  Guess what?  My card here was tweeted about yesterday on the Hero Arts Twitter Account.  How cool is that?

This week's Just Us Girls Challenge was to use Orange, Navy and Green on card.  I am down to zero masculine cards in my stash...so I pulled out My Little Yellow Bicycle papers for this card...and then used my favorite PTI Damask Designs stamps for the background flourish that was stamped with Versamark and then embossed along with the sentiment.

I have a sweet Collin story to tell today too...We're driving in the car and I hear this little voice in the booster seat behind me.
"When I'm an adult, I'm going to get married." pause
"I'm going to marry a geerrrl."
"I might marry you, mommy, when your daddy dies."
"I can't marry my nana, she's married to Mr. Hank."

His little story makes me smile that he would want to marry me, but also a little heavy hearted.  My dad died when Collin was about 18 months old, so he doesn't remember him.  He thinks his nana's daddy died, not mine.  He clearly knows that nana is my mom, but at six hasn't figured it all out.  My sweet boy...

Ingredients:  Bazzill Paper, Little Yellow Bicyle DSP, PTI Damask Designs, Versamark, Ranger Distress Ink Broken China, Embossing Powder

Congrats on the recognition of your Sympathy card (I loved that one). Very nice JUGs card here too.
Yes children are so precious. Coleen is always taking about missing her great-grandpa and she's never met him. The other day she asked me about my dad and I told her that's who GG was. It's hard for them to comprehend but endearing as well.

Boys are precious, and I knew instantly that this was a masculine card. Love your textures and colors.
