School's Out!

Well not quite...my sweet little nieces were over to play with the boys yesterday and my niece, Ella, proclaimed, "In 2 months and a week, I'll be a first grader."  Too funny how they love to talk about their age and what grade they'll be in next.  Collin is very proud that he is 6 and a half...not 6!

Before we know it, school will actually be out so I thought I'd make a teacher thank you note for my stash.  Pulled out my tart and tangy SU set...one of my favorites.  I've used it on a variety of different cards.

Thanks to Stampin' 411 for the great sketches. Turned this one on it's side!  So pleased that I've been picked for the last few weeks as one of their stampers to showcase!  Check out last week's showcase here!

Ingredients:  October Afternoon DSP; SU Tart and Tangy Stamps; Real Red, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive Paper and Ink; PTI Kraft Paper; PTI Buttons and Twine

Hee hee that story is so sweet, especially from a mum of a 5 3/4 year old man! Perfect card for the occasion too - love the big scallops and twined button.

Congratulations too on the showcase :D

What a cute story. I have a 14 year old that still does the same thing. Reminding me that she'll be high school soon. Love the card! It's perfect for teachers.

Lovely card! I really need a stamp set for "teacher" cards!

Thanks for the encouraging words about all the ups and downs or (early) motherhood. My son is almost three weeks and all of a sudden he wants to nurse more...which makes me nervous that he doesn't get enough...anything can make me nervous these days :-)

What a great card and proves once again why you have been picked for the showcase - Love it! So glad you play along each week!
Your story is too cute - just wait til they are 12 going on 20! Emma loves to remind me that she is not a child anymore, but a "tween"! HA!

This is a such a neat card. I'm new at posting for the 411 and I am thinking about participating one of these days! :) This is a great card for inspiration for me as I just ordered it as a freebee on my last order for Sale-A-Bration. Congratulations for being Showcased!
